I have never owned a full polish collection like this, AND I’ve never owned a Zoya nailpolish- so doing this post was full of firsts for me! I don’t talk about nailpolish on this blog nearly as much as I wear it (which is like 98% of the time), so I think I should probably start doing more of that because it’s definitely a love of mine. We’ll start today with one of the newest collections for summer 2015 from Zoya: Island Fun. It’s bold, it’s colorful and the quality of the polishes are amaaaazing. I am super impressed and have officially become a huge Zoya fan over the last few weeks!
There are six cream polishes in the Island Fun collection. With the exception of Jace where I needed to two coats, I only did ONE coat for these swatches. Can you believe that? These polishes go on like a dream, are easy to apply and even without a topcoat, I have experienced very minimal chipping. Again- I am SO impressed with these Zoya polishes!
Let’s start with one of my favorites, Cecilia. Cecilia is described as a classic teal and I’d say that’s pretty accurate. Cecilia is a stainer, so use a base coat and don’t make a mess all over your fingers when you’re removing it.
Demetria is described as a vibrant poppy red- also totally accurate. I currently have this on my nails and it’s gorgeous! Such a perfect summer color, and just a perfect red in general.
Jace is described as a modern tropical green, and while it is said to be full coverage like the rest of the polishes in this collection, I found this one to require more coats to get full coverage in comparison to the other polishes. This is also a color I’d probably never wear, however it would be perfect for any nail art that required me to do something leafy, so I’ll keep it around!
Nana is described as a deep summer fuchsia. I think this is a very pretty shade for summer!
Serenity is described as a summer purple, and is my favorite out of all the polishes. I don’t own any other bright purple polishes, because I didn’t really think it was my color, but especially after seeing these swatch photos, I’ve decided I LOVE it. In fact, I think I’m going to paint my nails with it as soon as I’m done this post, haha.
Another favorite of the collection, Talia. Talia is described as a true turquoise, and I guess I have the wrong idea of turquoise because this is not what I’d describe as turquoise, haha. Regardless, the color is gorgeous and I’ll be wearing this a ton. It’s on my toes right now! Talia is also a stainer, so use a base coat and try not to make a mess all over your fingers when you’re removing it.
Which polish is your favorite from the Island Fun collection?
