Yves St Laurent has done it again- beautiful packaging, beautiful product. For real, I’m not sure if I can think of a brand that has more stunning packaging than YSL products do! Two more Touche Eclat products have recently been released to join the Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation and the Touche Eclat Radiant Touch. This collection is all about blurring imperfections and giving you gorgeous, radiant skin- and the two products, the Touche Eclat Blur Primer and the Touche Eclat Blur Perfector, do just that!
Let’s start with the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer. It has the prettiest clear + gold packaging, and the actual primer has tiny gold flecks throughout. I was a bit worried that the gold flecks would be too sparkly, but they blend into the skin pretty well and diffuse a bit, so you’re left with more of a glow than a shimmer. This primer absorbs very quickly, you only need to use a tiny bit, and it makes my skin feel SO SOFT. It provides the most smooth base for me to apply foundation over and definitely helps my foundation last longer and stay in place throughout the day, even in this summer heat. I’m actually really excited to try this in winter when my skin is drier, because I have a feeling it’s going to be the perfect product to keep foundation from clinging to any dry patches.
Next is the most beautiful of all products ever, the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Perfector. I avoided using this for quite a while just because it is so gorgeous and I didn’t want to ruin it, haha. I finally bit the bullet and pulled it out on a hooot day when my makeup was starting to melt- it is SO good for touchups! I have been using it on my t-zone and around my nose where my pores are a bit more visible. It really helps to mattify my skin when it starts getting too shiny in the heat and it truly does help to minimize pores. It is a balm to powder formula, which is one of the weirdest things I’ve experienced with a makeup product (next to how odd I find the squishiness of ColourPop shadows and blushes, haha). I didn’t realize this at first and was wondering how in the world applying a balm to my shiny face was going to help the situation, haha, but as soon as it’s on the skin it’s got a velvety, matte, almost-powder finish. It’s pretty dang impressive, to be honest.
Both of these products will be repurchases for me in future, but for now I think these will last me quite a while. Yves St Laurent is quickly becoming a favorite high end brand of mine with their gorgeous packaging and top notch products, and I can’t wait to try more! You can find YSL products at Nordstrom, Sephora and the YSL site. Sephora has a 2x-4x the points event on until August 9th, so I recommend shopping there to rack up the points. You can use Ebates for an extra 4% cash back as well. Also- thanks to Marcia for the tip, use code TRENDS (while supplies last) to get a sample of the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer with your order of $25 or more, in case you don’t want to take the plunge without trying it first!
Have you tried either of these YSL products?
