It seems like all I do these days is review subscription boxes, amiright? There are just so many good ones (and new ones constantly popping up) that I don’t want to miss out on! I promise, I have other types of posts in the works for you, but for now… another new subscription box is on the market and it’s full of gorgeous goodies that you need to know about!
This March marks the release of the first ever WonderLab Boutique Box and they definitely started off their subscription box with a bang! They feature Canadian brands with natural, handmade, small batch product lines. Since venturing into the world of green beauty myself, I’ve come to realize how many incredible natural products are Canadian-made. I love trying out all of these beautiful homegrown products and the WonderLab Boutique Box is proving to be the perfect way to do so!
In this month’s Balance and Restore themed box, we have:
- Kismet Organic Coffee Body Scrub in Sweet Orange ($20)
- Kismet Dead Sea Salt Soak in Eucalyptus + Peppermint ($20)
- Evy Jo & Co Basil and Vanilla Lip Balm ($14)
- TISH Jewelry Crystal Pendulum Pendant ($40)
The total value of this box is $94, and the box itself retails for $66.50 (monthly subscription) or $70 (one-time purchase) with free expedited shipping across Canada (this box is not currently available internationally).
My most favorite thing in this box has to be the Kismet Dead Sea Salt Soak, which is funny because it’s the one product I can’t actually use right now, haha. The new house we moved into upon coming home from our 3-month trip in New Zealand is great, with the exception of the whole not having a bathtub thing. It’s pretty devastating because I LOVE taking baths. I’m just going to bring this soak to my parents next time I stay over for a night and use it in their tub, hahaha.
Anyways, this soak smells gorgeous (I loooove the smell of both eucalyptus and peppermint) and I already know I love it because I’ve purchased this in the past! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a delicious smelling bath soak and want to support a great Vancouver-based small biz in the process.
Next up, the Kismet Coffee Body Scrub. I have a couple of body scrubs open at the moment that I need to finish up first, so I’m saving this bad boy for summer. Coffee scrubs are definitely not my favorite because they’re SO messy, but I really appreciate the 100% organic ingredient list and yummy sweet orange scent, so I’ll happily use it!
Unfortunately, the Evy Jo & Co Basilic Vanille lip balm is just not for me. When basil is in any form other than fresh, it smells very much like black liquorice to me… and anyone who knows me well knows I HATE black liquorice. So, while the 0.75oz tin contains almost 3x the product than a regular lip balm and it’s made with beautiful ingredients, I just can’t. I’ll probably pass this on to my mama, though. She loves that kind of scent!
One feature I absolutely love with subscription boxes is when you get to choose your own item from a selection they provide. This is especially great when it comes to jewelry, because I am so picky with what I’ll wear! For the March WonderLab Boutique Box, subscribers got to choose between the TISH Jewelry Crystal Pendulum Pendant in Clear Quartz or Green Aventurine.
Both colors are stunning, but the basic b in me wanted the more simple looking option (as per usual, haha), so I went with Clear Quartz. Clear Quartz is known for healing, energy and creativity, and Green Aventurine is the ‘stone of opportunity’ that brings prosperity, grounding and opportunity. I didn’t realize each stone had a meaning upon choosing, but I feel like both would have been super fitting for me regardless.
I loved experiencing the first ever WonderLab Boutique Box! I think it was beautifully curated, had great value and products that subscribers would easily be able to get a lot of use out of, and I love getting to learn about and try products from Canadian brands!
The WonderLab Boutique Box for March is still available, but I don’t know for how much longer, so get in there quick and place your order if you want in on this month’s box. If not, definitely surprise yourself with the next box!

I’ve never ordered from a subscription box before, but this one looks really nice! I actually love the smell of basil (funny, because I can’t stand black licorice), so I’m sure I’d love that lip balm!

Oh man, I am SUCH a sucker for subscription boxes. I just can’t resist the happy mail surprise! I love the smell of fresh basil but just can’t stand it once it’s dried for some reason… too bad, because the balm sounds like it’d be really nice otherwise!

The crystal pendant necklace is gorgeous! I think that I’m adding this box to my Mother’s Day wish list.
