I have always LOVED Valentine’s Day. Even way back in the early days when I didn’t even know what a crush was yet, I was all about writing each of my classmates a Valentine’s card and handing them out at school. Of course, as I got older, I learned to appreciate it more as a day to show someone how much you care about them (though I did hop on the bandwagon in high school and boycott it for a year or two because “you shouldn’t only show someone how much you love them on one day of the year,” but we all know that was just because I didn’t have a boyfriend at the time, hahaha). Cole and I spend quality time and do nice things for each other all throughout the year, of course, but it’s fun to have a day where you spoil each other and do something memorable.
Funnily enough, in our almost six years together, Cole and I have yet to have a Valentine’s Day to remember (unless you count the one where I got in the car when he picked me up from work, and somehow we banged heads while he reached down to pick up the roses he got me off the floor, hahahaha. We’re SO romantic, I know). In fact, I think we totally forgot about Valentine’s Day last year. THIS year, however, I went all out and got us concert tickets so that we can actually go do something fun!
We’ve got pretty good seats for Brad Paisley this weekend, and I am SO. EXCITED. Country isn’t Cole’s #1 choice of music, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do for your significant other. He picked the last concert (Fleetwood Mac), so it’s fair! I am so ready to sing and dance the night away, and you KNOW I’m going to need some serious odor protection, because let’s be real- no one wants to deal with that. I always carry my tiny crossbody to concerts (for optimal dancing, of course), and there just isn’t room to stash deodorant in there once I’ve shoved my wallet in, so I’ll be relying on the 48-hour odor protection that the Secret Outlast Xtend deodorant provides.
The best part about this deodorant is that I can apply it first thing in the morning and I don’t have to worry about it all day long. It boasts 48-hour odor protection and this easily gets me through the day (and plenty of dancing) without having to feel- or smell- uncomfortable and sweaty.
What was your most memorable Valentine’s Day?
