I honestly don’t even know where to start with the Urban Decay summer 2016 collection. I am in absolute love with every single thing, no lies. They just hit the nail on the head for every big trend right now and not only did they do it all well, from packaging to product performance, they basically just did it all the best!
I can’t even do a “save the best for last” way of listing everything out, because that’s how much I am enjoying every single product shown in this post, so I guess I’ll just start with bronzers, because everyone loves a good bronzer!
The Urban Decay Beached Bronzers are pretty much everything I look for in the perfect everyday wear bronzer: matte, not orange and not muddy. These are so blendable and look so natural. They remind me of a more pigmented and longer wearing version of my all time fave drugstore bronzer, Rimmel Natural Bronzer. The Beached Bronzer comes in two shades: Sun-Kissed (lighter) and Bronzed (darker), and they retail for $28.
The Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlighters are GORGEOUS. They retail for $26 each and come in three different shades: Aura (an iridescent light pink), Sin (a champagne, which is probably my favorite of the bunch) and Fireball (a peach with pink shift). These are super finely milled, so soft, so pigmented and blend beautifully. I’m just obsessed. I haven’t been using Fireball much yet due to it being a darker shade, but I’m hoping it’ll be a good shade for me come summer when I have a little more glow going on.
The Urban Decay 24/7 Waterline Eye Pencils (shown below in Walk of Shame, a nude) and 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils (shown below in Heartless, a light frosted pink) are SO CREAMY and have the most impressive staying power. They retail for $20 each, but the price is so worth it for how long they last. To put them to the test, when I went to wash off my swatches, I used my regular precleansing oil first and then soaped up my arm and they still didn’t come off! I was so, so impressed. I ended up doing another round of oil cleansing and they came off, but just wow. I couldn’t believe they held up through that!

You may or may not have seen my recent Color Correcting 101 post on how to correct redness, so you may or may not already know that the Urban Decay Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluids are the best things ever created. I’ve tried quite a few color correcting products thus far, and these definitely take the cake for my needs (dry skin, very dark circles, redness). These retail for $28 each, and I believe they are worth every. single. penny.
If you’re already a fan of the Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer, you are sure to love these. They are pretty much the same formula, but in color correcting options rather than your regular concealer shades. Each color has a different purpose, and I highly recommend you check out my Color Correcting 101 post to see what shade you’ll need to correct whatever it is you want to correct.
The greatest part about these Color Correcting Fluids, and the whole reason they work so well, is that they don’t blend away. I’ve found that that happens more easily with cream based color correcting products, which is probably why I’ve been loving these so much over everything else I’ve tried lately!
Urban Decay knocked the ball right out of the park with the summer 2016 collection, and I think they did an especially good job with releasing things that are going to become people’s go-to products year round, and not just for the summer.
Have you grabbed anything from this collection yet?
