Guys, happy mail is my most favorite thing ever. How fun is it to come home to a package waiting on your doorstep that you know is full of fun surprises?! For this very reason, I am obsesssssed with subscription boxes. It’s a curated surprise that, chances are, you’re going to love. I’ve been trying out a few different subscription boxes lately, and Causebox is the most recent of them all.
I chose to go with Causebox because it fits with my new green beauty/lifestyle journey perfectly. I LOVE being able to support small businesses (especially when I can do it all from the comfort of my own home with online shopping, haha) and Causebox is the real MVP when it comes to supporting small businesses. Every item you find in their boxes has a truly inspiring story behind it and the “Good News” booklet that comes with each box explains the story behind every product and the amazing people that made them. It’s amazing!
I loved my first Causebox. It included a beautiful scarf handmade in India, a 2017 calendar (the woodblock stand was handmade from reclaimed wood- AND for every calendar Causebox creates, a tree is planted by way of their charity partner, Trees For The Future), a gorgeous leather clutch handmade in Ethiopia, an eco and vegan-friendly nailpolish, a gorgeous print finished in silver foil, a hand cream made from hand-harvested shea butter from Burkina Faso in West Africa, and a $25 gift card to Krochet Kids International (which sells beautiful products handmade in Peru and Uganda). Seriously amazing!
I also ordered the $45 mystery Causebox. The items inside were favorites from previous Causeboxes, handpicked by the Causebox editors. They did an amazing job because I am more than happy with what my $45 got me! This Esperos tote is seriously heavy duty, I already love Juice Beauty so the Organic Lip Moisturizer included is awesome, the Material Fix necklace and Branded Collection bracelet are gorgeous, LOVE the little suede black and gold bag and the Lstn Sound Co. headphones just made a super easy (and cool) gift for Cole! Worth every single penny and more.
The best part of all of this is that I was able to support some amazing small businesses and incredibly talented artisans by making an online purchase. To make it all even better, I was able to use PayPal to pay! I always hunt for stores that accept PayPal because I use it for my own businesses, so I know it’s a safe and secure way to pay. They’ve got an option called OneTouch (you can activate it here) that lets me pay for my purchases without having to enter my credit card or billing info, which I love because a) it’s less stuff to have to fill out and b) I don’t have to be entering my credit card info on various websites.
If you’ve been with PayPal for a little while and have some transaction history with them, you may also have the option to use PayPal Credit for big ticket items. You can apply for credit right at checkout and spread out the payments a bit to make an expensive purchase a little easier to handle.
Last but not least, PayPal is offering FREE return shipping (called Return Shipping On us) for up to 11 items at a purchase price of $30 or under. That’s pretty awesome if you ask me, because shipping sure isn’t cheap these days! PayPal makes online shopping and supporting small merchants a breeze. If you don’t already use it, I highly recommend checking it out!
