The Sephora Collection is, for the most part, fairly unknown territory for me. I hadn’t heard much about any of the Sephora brand products up until this year when people started raving about the Cream Lip Stains (which I think I’ll finally be grabbing a couple of during the VIB sale next week!). Back in the spring, I tried out a couple of the Sephora Collection skincare products (this mud mask is amazing) and was left with a really great impression, so I am really excited to be able to share some of the Sephora Collection holiday releases with you over the next couple of weeks!
First up for review is the Sephora Collection Ombre Obsession Eyeshadow Palette and the Ombre Obsession Face Palette. Both palettes obviously have an ombre theme with their shades which I think is really fun and unique, and I love the varied color selection in both palettes, but more notably the eye palette. The eyeshadow palette retails for $34 and the face palette for $43. They are both so gorgeous!
As I have already mentioned, I LOVE how varied the shades in the Ombre Obsession Eyeshadow Palette are- the mix of colorful and neutral shades is just perfect. There are technically 8 shadows in here, but being that you can pick up shadow from any section of the different ombre shades, there really are upwards of 16 shadows- which is great value!
How do they perform? I’m quite impressed, to be honest. While they didn’t swatch the best with my finger (dry, no primer) and I had to do a couple swipes to build up the color, they cooperate a LOT better with a brush- and even better, a damp brush. Applying these shadows wet really makes the color come alive! They stayed on me all day with a primer (though I don’t generally have issues with my eyeshadow creasing/fading) and while a couple of the shades are a little bit powdery, they still apply just fine and without fallout. Seriously, just look how gorgeous. All. The. Love.
The Ombre Obsession Face Palette (which is basically just a blush palette) is biiiig bang for buck. There is a LOT of product in here and these blushes are packed with SO much pigmentation. There are a total of eight different blushes in here and they blend beeeeeautifully. Seriously, I am shocked by the quality of this palette and these blushes!
There are a couple shades that have some shimmer to them, and being that I am not a shimmer girl, I probably won’t reach for those often, but the rest are totally up my alley and colors that I’ll wear daily. Half of the shades lean pink/rose and half lean more peachy/coral- these are the two general blush “color families” I use most often, so I will be getting a ton of use out of this palette.
Either of these limited edition Sephora Collection Ombre Obsession palettes would make amazing gifts, not only for a makeup hoarder beauty lover like myself, but also for someone who is just getting started with makeup and building a collection, simply because of the bang for buck and variety of shades in each of these palettes.
Do you have any Sephora Collection faves?

That is probably my favorite of the two, but only because I “collect” (aka hoard) blushes haha. I love them both though!

Such gorgeous packaging, #1! And I love the soft shades. They’re perfect for me. Before starting to blog, I used to buy Sephora brand products all the time and I loved them. Now I hear they’ve upped the quality so I need to try ’em again

Both palettes look stunning, especially those blushes! I just picked up an ombre blush from NYX recently and I am head over heels in love with it. It definitely sparked a new obsession! x
