It seems like it’s been a very, very hot minute since I’ve posted a makeup review! The blog has definitely suffered the past year and a half with a TON going on in my personal life (allllll of the traveling, moving, health scares with family, focusing a lot more on my design business and all that jazz), but I’m on a mission to bring it back and get back into the swing of things! We’re kicking it off today with a fairly comprehensive review of Rejuva Minerals. They so kindly sent me a ton of their products to try out and I’m ready to share my thoughts.
A lot of the Rejuva Minerals products are made with natural and organic ingredients, are EWG-verified, MADE SAFE certified and are rated “clean” by the Think Dirty app. These seals of approval are definitely what drew me to the brand in the first place as they’re not easy to come by! Unfortunately, the Rejuva Minerals products I’ve tried thus far are nearly all a total miss for me.
Let’s start with the foundation. I was sent the Luminous Creme Foundation in the shade Tropical Coconut which is a decent match for me. I applied this with a pretty dense buffing foundation brush (it was quite hard to pick up on this, but I refused to use the little puff thing it came with because those drive me nuts, haha) and was able to achieve a light to medium coverage. This foundation is very creamy with quite a dewy finish.
Upon first applying, it felt pretty nice on the skin (albeit a bit heavy), but it quickly settled into every fine line on my face, got greasy looking, wore off almost everywhere and then eventually left my skin feeling dry. The photos below are about seven hours after I had first applied it and even though these are terrible, dark iPhone photos (I’m sorry! I lost my point and shoot that I use for face shots for like five months and JUST found it today- hallelujah), you can see that it’s completely worn off around my nose and chin where I get the most redness and breakouts.
I’m not at all surprised that their site says that this foundation is currently unavailable as they work to make improvements.
As for the other products, I tested out the Mega Lash Mascara in Midnight Black, the Multi-Purpose Powder (Eyeshadow & Face) in White Diamond, Mocha Latte and Brazilian Brown, and the Multi-Purpose Powder (Blush & Eye) in Acai Berry.
I really like the pressed eyeshadows and they are something that I have continued to use on a pretty regular basis. They are well pigmented and blend very easily (almost too easily- I had to be careful I wasn’t just blending everything away). They stayed on well throughout the seven hour wear test, however they creased very badly (as you can see in the second photo below). I do want to note that I’m pretty sure they did this because I had some foundation on my lids- I’ve worn them since and haven’t had them crease nearly this bad.
I had heard people say good things about the mascara in some green beauty groups I’m in on Facebook, but I’ve really learned to not trust anyone in those groups recommendations for mascara anymore, haha. I’ve bought SO many based on people’s recommendations and 99.9% of the time, they’ve done absolutely nothing for me- this mascara being one of them. It gives a bit of length and good separation, but it’s borderline impossible to get any volume. The formula feels very heavy and it droops my lashes down. I also found it flaked a lot and was very badly smudged by the end of the day (two issues I almost never have with conventional mascaras). This mascara is a total no-go for me.
The Multi-Purpose Powder blush in Acai Berry was fine, but nothing to write home about.
I do still have a couple more products to test out, but for the most part, Rejuva Minerals has been a near total miss for me. I am happy to have the pressed shadows in my collection, but other than that, I can definitely live without their products. I didn’t have a chance to use the brushes as I passed them onto a friend (lord knows I don’t need anymore brushes, haha), but they certainly didn’t feel like the softest, fluffiest brushes ever.
I’d love to hear about your experience with Rejuva Minerals if you’ve tried anything from them!

I’ve never tried this brand before! I like the colour of the acai blush. Great honest review– I have the same mascara issues with recommendations, LOL

I hadn’t heard of this brand until recently either! The blush is a pretty color in the pan but barely shows up on my cheeks. I don’t think the formula is terrible, they just have a very limited shade selection that I don’t think is the best for me unfortunately. And oh man, don’t even get me started with mascaras. I swear everyone out here recommending them likes invisible lashes and I’m over here like WHERE’S THE VOLUME!?!?! Hahahaha.

I love the color of the Multi Task Powder! I’ll have to try that out!!

I’ve never heard of this brand before but love clean makeup and it looks beautiful on!

It only looks nice for all of an hour before it melts right off. There are definitely better clean options out there!

I actually love the mascara! It never flakes or smudges for me, even when I go to the chiropractor and am face down into the table. It’s my favorite.
I was least impressed with the eye shadows. I have Mocha Latte and it takes four layers to even make it noticeable. I’m very light skinned so it shouldn’t take much,
I also like the red wine lipstick, which shows up more natural that it looks in the tube. If your looking for the traditional red red, it’s not that.
Foundation in pressed powder is okay, Blush in pink parfait hardly shows on my pale skin.
The brushes are amazing, I love that they are all synthetic, no animal hair here! They full face brush is super soft and they have all (I have about a half dozen different ones) held up to weekly washing without issue.
The multi task powder is amazing, I like it as much as the mascara. Plus it smells nice, lightly of chocolate.

Thank you for sharing your experience! I’m glad to hear there are some good products because I do really appreciate that the brand goes to the lengths it does for the certifications it has. I cannot get the mascara to work for me, I just find it so heavy on my lashes.
The pressed eyeshadows were fine for me- I use a couple of them pretty regularly now and like them. I do find they blend away super easy so I have to be careful when building them up and blending them out, so I can definitely understand the issue you are having with Mocha Latte.
I will have to find where I put the lipstick and multi-task powder to try them out! I was so disappointed with the results I had with most of these products that I just never got around to trying out the rest of the stuff, but definitely open to it after your good recommendation!
