I swear, I have the weakest ankle/heel skin of all time. It is incredibly rare that I will find a pair of shoes that- no matter how comfortable- won’t rub my heels open or give me blisters immediately. This is pretty much a 100% guarantee with any pair of flats I ever buy, so I am always on the defense right away with bandages or tape or whatever to protect my heels from getting rubbed against.
There are the times, though, where I have been in a rush to get out of the house and I totally forget to make sure my heels are good to go and I am caught ten steps into wherever I’m going with blisters already forming. That is the WORST. There have been so many times I’ve had to flatten the backs of my shoes and walk like a weirdo to keep them on because the pain is too bad, or- even worse- where I’ve just had to grin and bear it because I couldn’t flatten the backs.
Thankfully, I was recently introduced to a remedy for this sucky situation. I am a member of ChickAdvisor, which is a Canadian product review site of sorts, and they sent packs of Polysporin Blister Treatment out to a bunch of people for review and I was one of the lucky ones who got to try out this amazing product. They are like super cushioned bandages that a) immediately relieve blister pain, even if you’re walking around with the shoes still on, b) act like a second skin that starts protecting and helping to heal your blisters as soon as you put them on, and c) have super sticky staying power- I showered and swam with both heels covered in these treatments and had no issues with them falling off at all!
I am honestly obsessed with these. Since being sent these, I’ve already bought a couple more packs because I just never want to be without them. They live in the convenient little case they come in inside my bag and I won’t ever be caught in a painful situation again, as long as I have these babies.
Do you deal with the blister struggle?
