I got my first ever Petit Vour box this month after seeing endless reviews and posts from other bloggers raving about it! I was so excited to finally try out Petit Vour for myself and my first month definitely didn’t disappoint. Petit Vour is a luxury subscription box for cruelty-free beauty and lifestyle. Everything included in their boxes is free of animal testing, animal ingredients and harmful toxins. Win, win, win!
Here’s what was in the Petit Vour May 2018 box:
- Lauren B. Beauty Cuticle Oil ($20)
- Au Naturale Cosmetics Color Theory Creme Corrector ($24)
- EiR NYC Sunset Oil ($7)
- Zabana Essentials Banana Colloidal Oatmeal Face Mask & Scrub ($12.50)
I’ve used Lauren B. Beauty nail products before and really liked them, so the Reparative Cuticle Oil was a welcomed addition to my collection. My cuticles have been in quite the state lately for some reason, so I’ve been putting this to good use already (it’s on my nails as I type this, haha)! I love that it’s hydrating but not too greasy and it absorbs into the skin quickly. It also has a really light floral scent courtesy of all the beautiful flower oils it’s formulated with.
I reviewed a bunch of Au Naturale products recently, but the Color Theory Creme Corrector wasn’t one of them. I got the shade Peach and find it to be more of a light pink, which is okay because that would be brightening nonetheless on my fair skin. The corrector has a slightly lighter formula than their concealer, but I find that it settles into any lines in my skin all the same. I don’t know what it is with Au Naturale’s cream products, but they just don’t work well for me. This one is a miss for me, but I love that Petit Vour is including makeup products in their boxes!
I’ve heard good things about EiR NYC, but this is the first time trying them myself! The Sunset Oil is an arnica and aloe infused body oil full of vitamins and essential oils that help to repair and revive skin that’s been dried out and damaged by the sun, salt and wind. It’s meant to be great for post-sun exposure, so I’ll be stashing this little bottle in my beach bag! PS. it smells AMAZING.
I have yet to use the Zabana Essentials Colloidal Oatmeal Hydrating & Rejuvenating Face Mask + Scrub, but I really look forward to doing so! This handcrafted face mask helps to soothe, hydrate and repair dry skin. Simply wet your face, apply a thick layer and leave on for 5-10 minutes. When you’re finished, massage the mask off to get a little exfoliation happening! The full size retails for $25 and comes in a jar, however I really like that the one in the Petit Vour box is in a small travel-friendly packet. I’ll be saving this for my next trip somewhere!
While I always think that I prefer subscription boxes that provide all full size products, it’s actually refreshing to get a box that has product sizes that I know I’ll be able to use up. I feel like Petit Vour has found a great happy medium with the product sizes they include. They’re not so tiny that you only get one use and have no idea if it does any good for you or not, but they’re not so big that I need to dedicate three months to finishing them so that I’m not being wasteful. I am looking forward to being able to try more brands through Petit Vour without the time commitment of using up a full sized product!
Another great thing is that the Petit Vour box is curated to your own beauty profile, so you’re much more likely to receive products that’ll appeal to you and work for your skin tone and type. You can get the Petit Vour box for as little as $15/month on a yearly subscription, so it’s safe to say that it’s worth every penny and certainly isn’t a huge gamble either! You can also rate the products from your box each month and receive $4 in PV points for doing so, which you can then use towards purchases in their store.
The May box is still available, so head over to their site and subscribe now if you want to get in on it. I can’t wait to see what’s in the Petit Vour box next month!

I’m definitely curious about that cuticle oil and the mask. Those look like two things I’d really enjoy. My cuticles are gross from being outside in the garden and sun all the time. Thanks for the hookup!

Same here! I think gardening is what has ruined mine too. Loving it so far!

I’ve been wanting to try Petit Vour but it, like a lot of other green beauty boxes is more skincare based and I want more makeup. I subscribe to Goodbeing, another green beauty boxes. I do like how Petit Vour gives you $4 in credit a month for reviewing.

Getting those small samples to try out are the best. It’s so hard to figure out which products you’ll like without wasting a ton of money on full-sized products. I love that they have a review – point system. Very cool.

Wow this box looks amazing! I’ve never purchased a subscription box, but this seems like a fabulous one to try!

This looks such a fancy box. It looks like more high end products instead of of random crap.
