I’m so excited about April’s Pearlesque Box, and I’ll tell you why in just a minute. First, a quick blurb on the Pearlesque Box in case you haven’t heard of it before! It’s a monthly subscription box that delivers a few full and travel sized luxury skincare products (with good-for-you ingredients!) from one specific brand each month.
This month’s featured brand is Delia Organics, and the reason I’m so stoked about it is because they are a Vancouver-based company! There’s just something so awesome about discovering amazing products that were created on your very own stomping grounds, haha. Alright, so what is in this month’s box?
There are three full sized Delia Organics products in this month’s Pearlesque Box. First up is the Delia Organics Uplift Facial Mist, which I absolutely love. I’ll admit, it’s almost impossible for me NOT to love a face mist, so this is an automatic fave for me. What sets it apart from the billions of others I have, though, is that it smells like rosemary. Rosemary is such a fresh, invigorating scent that I can’t get enough of! I find this mist very hydrating and I’ve seriously almost gone through half of the bottle already. To put that into perspective, I’ve had it for about a week. That’s how good it smells!
Next, we have the Delia Organics Restore Treatment, made with tamanu and noni oil. This is touted to be a “light and quick absorbing facial oil that slows environmental moisture evaporation.” While I wouldn’t call it light, it does absorb faster than other oils I’ve been using lately. This is a night-time treatment that is super hydrating (and fragrance free!), and I really wish I had had this during the past winter when my skin was constantly feeling dehydrated.
Last, but certainly not least, we have the Delia Organics Dose of C Eye Magnify with vitamin E and botanical hyaluronic acid. This eye cream surprised me actually, because it’s not a cream but a very light gel texture. I was actually just complaining to a friend the other day about how since I’ve switched to natural products, every eye cream I use sits on top of my skin and takes forever to absorb.
This one, however, is the total opposite. It absorbs SO fast and leaves my under eye area feeling super hydrated and ready for makeup. It says you should get 1-2 months out of this product, but I could see this lasting for even longer than that because you need so little! I have really been enjoying this product.
One thing I need to mention, because you guys know I am all about the aesthetics… it really bothers me that the labels on these products are yellowed. I’m sure this isn’t the case, but when I see yellowed paper, I automatically assume “old.” Packaging is a huge selling point for me with any sort of product, so I’d definitely love to see the packaging be on the same level, quality-wise, as the products themselves are.
Update: the founder of Delia Organics reached out to me after reading my review and confirmed that the products are made to order, so I was correct in assuming that the yellow tinted label didn’t mean they were aged at all. The tinting is actually part of the design- it’s supposed to be green that fades out around the logo. It’s not my place to offer design tips for someone else’s brand that I’m not working on, so I will leave it at that! :)
All in all, another incredible Pearlesque Box that I’m so happy with! I love that the Pearlesque Box really sources products from all over the world and helps get the word out about brands that you may have never come across otherwise. There are products from the past three boxes I’ve reviewed that I’m still using as part of my daily routine because I love them so much! If you’re in the market for luxury, high-quality skincare, sign up for the Pearlesque Box. You won’t be disappointed!
