While this post has been sponsored by Visit Anaheim, all opinions remain my own.
I got insanely lucky a month or two ago when I was drawn as the winner of Inspirations & Celebrations Deluxe Central Coast Vacation giveaway. We have to cover our own travel costs, but everything else from accommodation to food to activities are covered for a beautiful weekend away in Monterey- I’m SO excited! Cole and I have decided to save our trip for next summer so we can make a whole road trip out of it.
We did a totally spontaneous road trip to San Francisco last year (we only initially intended to drive as far as Cannon Beach in Oregon) and we had a great time, so it’ll definitely be fun to do it again but with a little more planning this time, so we can fit more in! I have been bugging Cole to go to Disneyland for like three years now, so this will totally be my chance and you can bet I’m definitely jumping on that opportunity to stop in Anaheim (which is located in the center of Southern California)! I haven’t been since I was 12, but I absolutely loved it when I was little, so I can only imagine how much fun I’ll have there as an adult with so much more to do than just go to Disneyland.
Here’s what is on my must-do in Anaheim list so far:
1. Go to Disneyland
Okay, so obviously Disneyland is number one on my HAVE to do in Anaheim list, so we’ll just get that one over with first. ;)
2. Check out the craft brewery scene
Cole and I love trying out beers from little local craft breweries, and they always offer such a cool atmosphere to hang out and have a drink or two. I hear Anaheim has quite the craft brewery scene, so we’ll definitely be checking that out!
3. Go to Knott’s Berry Farm
I went here when I was in Anaheim as a kid, but I was too chicken to ride some of the bigger rides, haha. I need to go back for sure.
4. Catch an Angels game
Hopefully timing will work out while we’re there to see the LA Angels play! It’s always best to see teams play at home, so it’d be amazing if we are able to catch a game.
5. Check out the Anaheim Packing District
Two floors featuring 20+ artisan eateries? Uh, YES please. This sounds like a beefed up version of the local-to-me Lonsdale Quay Market, and I love that place, so I’m pretty sure I could spend a good amount of time (and money, haha) here!
6. Explore downtown Anaheim
I hear there is plenty of good shopping and great eating in downtown Anaheim (specifically the Center Street Promenade area), as well as farmer’s markets and street fairs. Sounds like a good time to me!
And, as if we needed anymore reason to make a stop in Anaheim on our #CaliRoadTrip2017, they have 320+ days of sunshine a year- heck. yes. If you are from the area, or have visited before, and have any recommendations for me to add to my list, please let me know!
