I feel like Marc Jacobs Beauty is quite an underrated brand. Not in that I ever hear people talk badly about it, but in that I don’t hear near enough chatter about the brand for how seriously good their products are. The Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Lip Gels are some of my all time favorite lipsticks, the Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayons stay on your waterline like no other, and the coverage and finish of the Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation Concentrate is stunning (more to come on that in a future post!). I was recently sent a few new Marc Jacobs Beauty releases and now that I’ve had time to play around with all of them, I’m here with my final thoughts!
First up? Oooobviously the color correctors. You all know from my Color Correcting 101 posts (see how to cover dark circles and how to correct redness) that I’m pretty into this color correcting trend, so it goes without saying that I’ve been dying to try the Marc Jacobs Cover(t) Stick Color Correctors since they came out. The two shades I have are Bright Now (a pink and lilac combo that helps to brighten as well as counteract dark circles for fair skin tones) and Co(vert) Affairs (an orange and lime combo that helps to neutralize redness). There is one other shade available in the line called Getting Warmer, which is a peach and caramel combo that helps cover dark spots and dark circles for medium to deep skin tones. These retail for $38 each.
The Cover(t) Stick Color Correctors are super smooth and creamy, but incredibly lightweight at the same time. Just from looking at them, I thought they were going to be thicker and a bit harder to blend out, but they’re not at all. It’s almost as if they melt into the skin upon application. These have a bit of an illuminating quality to them and really help to brighten up my face and add life to my sometimes dull skin. As for covering my dark circles, I find that Bright Now does more brightening under my eyes than really covering up my dark circles, so I still use a heavy duty concealer in that area.
So, how do you use these? After primer and before foundation is what I find works best. I give the product a swipe on whatever areas of my face I need, and very lightly blend out with my Beauty Blender (but don’t blend out until the product disappears, as that defeats the purpose of color correcting, haha). I will reach for these color correctors over my Urban Decay ones (which I also absolutely love) when I’m going with a light-medium coverage foundation so the luminosity comes through.

I have raved about the Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayons before, and the Marc Jacobs Fineliner Ultra-Skinny Gel Crayons are basically just a skinnier version of those. They are super pigmented, last all day, stay on your waterline like nobodies business and retail for $24 each. Basically, you need these. The Fineliner Gel Crayons come in two must-have shades: (Big)Eyes! (white) and Blacquer (black). If you’re looking for more color options, definitely check out the Highliner Gel Crayons, as they come in 25 different shades.
How adorable are Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Nail Polishes? Easily the cutest polishes I own, that’s for sure. The shades pictured here are Good Friday (a mint) and Resurrection (a pale pink). They are perfect spring and summer shades and I’ve been using them so often! I loooove a good, shiny polish and these are definitely it. Two coats of this stuff and my nails look like perfection. It also lasts a good few days without chipping, which for me is a huge feat- some polishes I own chip off the same day I put them on! These retail for $18 each and come in a ton of different colors.
The Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara does just that… gives you major volume. I give every new mascara I get a try with no expectations, because I have pretty lackluster lashes to begin with- they’re short, straight, not very voluptuous at all, and are fairly light in color as well- so basically mascara needs to perform a small miracle for me to love it. This one (much to my surprise, honestly), performs that small miracle. It gives me length AND volume. You’ll see a before and after in an upcoming post, but for now, just take my word for it. If you have little stumps for lashes like I do, give this one a try. It’s super black, the formula is easy to work with, you can get a couple coats on there without any clumping, and it doesn’t flake or smudge. I have really been loving this one lately and it’s all I took with me for mascara on my Toronto trip last weekend! It retails for $26 and is worth every penny.
Do you have a favorite Marc Jacobs Beauty product?

LOVING the mascara as well, and the highliners are my all time favourites. I also have the Style Eyecon palette in The Tease I think (the purple one) and it is stunning!

These are so pretty! Have you seen the Marc Jacobs highlighters in the same packaging? They are HUGE! I swatched the all of the eyeliners not long ago and they are on my wishlist! So longlasting!

I especially love the packaging on everything from Marc Jacobs. I have one of the LE gel liner kits and I like them. The colors are gorgeous. I was happy to get a MJ mini-lippie as part of the Sephora bday gift this year. I am drooling over the look of those color correctors. Amazing

I have rosacea so I actually think the larger stick format of this would be perfect to swipe over my cheeks. Also, how beautiful are these products?!

I wish I could afford more Marc Jacobs. I didn’t buy the correctors because I didn’t know much about them. I do love my few nail polishes from the brand. I need to break out my eyeshadows since they are so beautiful.

Crushing on Marc Jacobs products. Love the gel highlighters! I try every new mascara on my fine, sparse lashes – the Velvet Noir mascara is #1, with O!Mega Lash coming in 2nd. The brush on O!Mega is lovely; I keep every one and use them as my spoolies. I can’t live without Daisy Dream, Mod Noir, and Decadence fragrances. Haven’t tried the concealers but will.
