Between the splurging I did back in May for my birthday, monthly beauty subscription boxes, and press samples that have been sent to me here and there, I have acquired quite a lot of new makeup over the last couple of months. For the most part, I have really been loving almost everything I’ve tried. I thought I’d do a look today that incorporates some of my holy grail products with some new products that I have been using a lot lately!
Predictably, I did a neutral eye look, haha. I promise you that I am starting to make an effort to break off into more color, though! I have bought a couple bright palettes lately that I’m super excited to try some fun looks with. But for now, bear with me with another neutral look using an eye palette that I bought myself for my birthday and am obsessed with (seriously, it’s all I’ve been using on my eyes lately. Shame on me, haha): the Too Faced Boudoir Eyes palette.
If you like neutrals, you NEED this palette. Believe me- I try not to collect too many neutral palettes, and especially since I already have a few of the Urban Decay Naked palettes that I feel cover a lot of the neutrals I could ever need, I rarely even think about buying a neutral palette. BUT, this little palette with nine different shades was a purchase I made on a whim and I’m soooo happy I did. It’s got some gorgeous shades that are a really good mix of taupes/greys/blacks/purples, which is impressive for such a little palette. Anyways, onto the look!
For the face, I mostly stuck to my trusty all-time favorites: MAKE UP FOR EVER Step 1 Skin Equalizer Smoothing Primer, MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Invisible Cover Foundation in 117 Marble and MAC Prolongwear Concealer in NW15. For bronzer and blush, I used the Sephora Collection Sun Disk Bronzer. I swirled my brush through all the colors and applied this as I would normally apply bronzer, and then I pinched my brush a bit and focused more on picking up the peachy pink and applied that just to my cheeks. This is the perfect summer color combo for my fair skin and I know I’ll be using this a LOT this summer. It is a limited edition product, so make sure you grab one quick if you’re interested.
I filled in my brows with my holy grail (and the rest of the world’s holy grail)- Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Taupe. On my eyes, I used the Sephora Collection Colorful Shadow and Liner in Cafe Au Lait all over my lid as a base. Then, with the Too Faced Boudoir Eyes palette, I applied Birthday Suit all over the lid and blended Garter Belt into the crease. I added a bit more Garter Belt to the outer corner to deepen up the color a bit. I used a bright silvery-white MAC eyeshadow (that is from a collection from a couple years ago, any similar shadow will do) on the inner corners of my eyes.
For a subtle pop of color (I realize that sounds kind of contradictory, haha, but it makes sense), I lined my lower waterline about halfway across using the Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayon in Midnight in Paris which is a stunning navy blue. If you are struggling to find a liner that will stay on your waterline, TRY THESE. Seriously, these gel crayons go on so smooth and don’t budge on me- I looooove them and pretty much want every color now. For something a little different than the usual black, I lined my upper lashline the Kat Von D Ink Liner in Woolf, which is a pretty grey. These liners are SO easy to use with their firm felt tip. In an ideal world, I would’ve liked to do a more dramatic wing with this look, but I’ve been blessed with hooded eyes that get in the way of wings, so it just isn’t happening, haha ;) I finished everything up with two coats of my new absolute favorite mascara, Benefit Roller Lash.
On my lips I used a pretty pink Marc Jacobs combo of the Le Marc Lip Creme in Georgie Girl and the Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer in Love Buzz.
I love that look is a step up from the usual neutral look I’ll wear on a regular basis, but didn’t require a lot of extra effort and it’s still toned down enough that I can wear it out during the day without looking overdone.
What new products are you loving lately?

I love the pairing of grey liquid liner with the neutral eye. It’s a nice spin on a typical black liner!
Chelsea says
Agreed! I definitely need to break away from the black liner more often :)

Love this look! Getting a too-faced palette is next on my to-buy list! I don’t really love Rollerlash, though. I think They’re Real is better and still would choose Too Faced BTS Mascara over it all!
Chelsea says
Whaaaaaaat, how can you not love Roller Lash!?!? They’re Real used to be my holy grail until I discovered BTS and then that was my be all end all- and it still is, but moreso when I want super full lashes. For everyday, I am just obsessed with Roller Lash.

What a gorgeous, natural look!! That foundation looks flawless, I think I need to pick some up. And aren’t the Marc Jacobs liners THE BEST?!
Chelsea says
This foundation really does have such a flawless finish when applied with a Beauty Blender! I have dry skin and I find that if I use a brush with it, it’ll cling to dry spots a bit more, but with a BB it’s just perfection :) And YES. I looove them and want them in every single color!
Erica @ Coming Up Roses says
Welp, all of your makeup looks #flawless. I might actually have to pick up that Too Faced palette! I’m obsessed with Naked 3, but purples and grays are my sweetspot.
