An easy, natural glowy makeup look using clean beauty products that you’ll definitely want to be wearing all spring long!
Spring is just around the corner and I can’t wait! I know, that’s probably a bit hard to believe for all of you experiencing major snow storms right now, haha. Bring on the days of natural glowy makeup and radiant skin. I’ve already started experimenting with spring makeup looks and this one is a quick and easy favorite of mine.
For this natural glowy makeup look, I used a few different products from Beauty Bridge. They carry a ton of brands, with quite a few clean and natural options to choose from as well! I’ve been dying to try Jane Iredale, so I chose the Jane Iredale Glow Time Full Coverage Mineral BB Cream ($48) and the Jane Iredale Snap Happy Makeup Kit ($58) to put to the test for this look.
Before trying it myself, I’d heard that the Jane Iredale BB Cream was one of the most full coverage clean beauty foundations on the market. Most of what I’ve used in the past couple of years has been more of a light to medium coverage, so I was very excited to try this out!
So, what did I think of the Jane Iredale BB Cream?
A little goes a LONG way with this product. I almost always overestimate how much I actually need! This is definitely the most full coverage clean foundation I’ve tried, but it’s very buildable, so you don’t have to go really heavy with it if you don’t want to. I do have to be careful with application on dry areas of my face as it has a tendency to cling to these spots.
Overall, I really enjoy this foundation! It lasts all day on me, the color match (BB3) is perfect for me and I love the skin-like finish it has despite being fuller coverage. It also has broad spectrum, reef-safe SPF 25 (the three darkest shades are SPF 17) which is a huge plus for me.
Here’s how the Snap Happy Makeup Kit performed.
The Jane Iredale Snap Happy Makeup Kit is limited edition and comes with the translucent PureMatte Finish Powder, PurePressed Blush in Whisper (a shimmery peachy pink), and PurePressed Eyeshadow Triple in Brown Sugar (with a taupe, peach and eggplant shade).
The three shadows were very easy to create an eye look with, however I don’t think you could get too much variation out of this trio. That’s fine by me, because this little kit is something I’d throw in my makeup bag for travel when I just needed a few shades to get by for a couple days. They last great on me all day with no creasing and they have a good amount of pigmentation to them. I wish that one of the shades was matte (they all have a satin or shimmery finish), but I’m able to make do without.
The blush is pretty and lasted all day as well, however I’m not much of a shimmery blush person and wish this was matte (or at least more of a satin finish). I also wouldn’t call the powder translucent as it has a hint of a peachy/yellowy undertone to it, but this was great for setting under my eyes as I have a lot of darkness that needs covering and cancelling out.
I got the Beautyblender All About Face Kit ($42) too, because I was in desperate need of a new Beautyblender and the smaller ones will come in handy with all of the cream products I’ve been using lately!
Onto the natural glowy makeup look!
