Yay for spring collections! It gives me hope that better weather is just around the corner. The NARS Spring 2016 collection, Nouvelle Vogue, is a gorgeous little mishmash of products. For the most part, it consists of nude and rosy shades, but also has a few fun pops of color. I have three different products from the NARS Spring 2016 collection to share today! PS- I photographed the NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint with these products, but then decided I’d do a separate review on that- so keep an eye out in the next week or two to hear my experience with it.
All of the three products I was sent from this collection were nude/neutral shades, and am definitely not mad about it. Nudes have been my jam lately, so I am LOVING this lipstick. It’s the NARS Lipstick in Rosecliff, a soft rose with a satin finish, and I feel like everyone needs to own this gorgeous lipstick. It feels so moisturizing on the lips and goes well with SO many different eye looks! I’m also loving the other lipstick in the Nouvelle Vogue collection, NARS Lipstick in Banned Red– though this one does seem more of a fall/winter shade to me.
I have the NARS Lip Gloss in Instant Crash (limited edition), and it’s described as a soft shimmering apricot. While you can see a little twinkle of shimmer in the tube, I don’t actually notice it at all on my lips- so definitely don’t be scared of this one if shimmer usually isn’t your thing, because you know I’m not a shimmer girl myself! This lip gloss on top of Rosecliff is the perfect glossy nude (shown below on the right). Also in this collection is the NARS Lip Gloss in Vida Loca (limited edition as well), a guava. Dare I say it? I think I could be becoming a lip gloss person…
After reviewing the NARS x Steven Klein Dead of Summer Eyeshadow Palette last fall, I kind of fell in love with the NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadows. I love that you can apply them wet for a much more intense look, or you can use them dry for an easy breezy softer daytime look. The shade I have from this collection is Kari, and though I haven’t tried applying it wet just yet, I can tell you that I love it for a one eyeshadow everyday look when applied dry! These shadows are so smooth and blend out beautifully, so it’s easy to create a soft, diffused look for everyday wear.
Other shadows in this collection include:
- NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in Tarvos (an icy mint)
- NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in Cressida (a shimmering midnight blue)
- NARS Duo Eyeshadow in Hammamet (a matte beige and a bronzed rose, limited edition)
Also part of this collection is the NARS Blush in Impassioned, which is a gorgeous pink orchid. This one is definitely on my wishlist! You can find the NARS Spring 2016 Nouvelle Vogue collection at Sephora, Nordstrom, Hudson’s Bay and, of course, on NARScosmetics.com.
Are any of the NARS Spring 2016 products on your wishlist?
