You know summer is almost here when all the bronzers start coming out! There’s been a ton of new bronzer releases lately with sunnier days on the horizon, and it seems that this year, liquid bronzers are quite the “it” thing. Benefit just came out with the Do The Dew Soft Matte Hoola Bronzer, and the oh so popular NARS Laguna Bronzer now has a liquid counterpart as well.
The NARS Laguna Liquid Bronzer ($40 for 1oz) is the perfect bronzer for those who love a good, natural glow. While the original Laguna Bronzer has a bit of a gold shimmer to it, I find that the liquid version has more of a satiny sheen than a shimmer. It is the most perfect glow and blends out nice and natural looking, even on my fair skin. It starts out more sheer, but can definitely be built up for a stronger glow. If you like a super glowy look to your skin, you could even try mixing a bit of this with your foundation for an all-over glow. I am definitely going to be taking this on my Mexico trip at the end of this month to mix in with my paler foundations once I get a little tan!
In addition to releasing a liquid version of the Laguna Bronzer, NARS has also released the NARS Laguna Tiare Bronzer– a scented version of the Laguna Bronzer in limited edition black woodgrain packaging. This bronzer retails for $59, which is $20 more than the $39 that the original NARS Laguna Bronzer costs. The Tiare Laguna Bronzer not only has the gorgeous limited edition packaging, but it also contains a bit more product (0.35oz compared to 0.28oz in the original Laguna Bronzer) and it also comes with a mini Ita Kabuki Brush (which retails for $55 on it’s own, so that shoots the value of this limited edition bronzer waaaay up, in my opinion!).
As far as scent goes in this bronzer, it’s quite sweet and floral. It’s fairly strong if you get your nose up in there, but it doesn’t linger on your face and it’s not overpowering if you’re not right up in the bronzer giving it a good smell, haha.
