June proved to be yet another great box from Mapleblume– but at this point, do we really expect any less from them? ;) I’ve been so pleased with every. single. box. I’ve received since they made their way onto the subscription box scene! Here’s a quick rundown if you’re not already familiar with them: Mapleblume is a luxury beauty box that features natural/organic/clean luxury skincare and makeup products. It’s definitely on the pricy end for a subscription box, but they include such great brands and products (always full sized, as well) that I am never left even remotely disappointed or feeling like the value isn’t there.
I was so busy this past month that I never really saw many sneak peeks for this box, so it was pretty much a total surprise for me when I opened it up! I was so excited to see a couple brands I’ve had previous great experiences with as well as a few new brands and products that I haven’t tried before but sound very promising.
The Mapleblume June 2018 box included:
- Linné Botanicals SCRUB Face Mask ($66USD/$85CAD)
- Naturallogic UNMASK ($60USD/$77CAD)
- Luxe Botanics Camu Brightening Mist ($32USD/$41CAD)
- Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in Freudian Slip ($15USD/$19CAD)
- Au Naturale Cosmetics High Lustre Lip Gloss in Ultra ($18USD/$23CAD)
I was so happy to see the Linné Botanicals SCRUB Face Mask in here! The only cleanser I’ve ever truly LOVED (and I’ve tried about a billion cleansers at this point) is from Linné Botanicals, so I can’t wait to try something else from them! This is an exfoliating face mask that can be massaged into dry skin to help exfoliate and promote cellular turnover or be left on your face for 2-5 minutes to help stimulate collagen production (yes, please).
I am very much looking forward to trying out UNMASK from Naturallogic. It’s a detox mask that doesn’t contain any of the traditional clays or powders you’d find in most detox masks (which I’m very happy about, because while I enjoy a good clay mask as a spot treatment when I have a breakout, I can never use them all over my face as they’re too drying for my skin). It’s formulated with activated charcoal, zeolites, burdock root and castor bean to help purge your skin, AHAs and botanical extracts to heal and regenerate your skin, clove to neutralize any leftover bacteria and oils and humectants to plump, hydrate and nourish your skin. This really does sound like a one-stop-shop mask and I’m definitely excited to try it!
The June box also included the Luxe Botanics Camu Brightening Mist. This is a super refreshing facial mist that is packed full of vitamin C, sodium hyaluronate, damascus rose water and botanical antioxidants. I have already been and gone through a whole bottle of this mist as I received it in a Pearlesque Box a few months back. It’s very nice and I loved having it at my desk to freshen up my skin throughout the day!
I have a couple nail polishes from Trust Fund Beauty and I really like them! The formula applies evenly and quite opaque. The shade included in this month’s box is called Freudian Slip and it’s a beautiful pastel pinky-purple shade… right up my alley!
I was pleasantly surprised with the Au Naturale Cosmetics High Lustre Lip Gloss, to be honest. I immediately didn’t think I’d like it based on the color in the tube, and when I swatched it on my hand, I found the texture it dried down to very questionable. Surprisingly, I LOVED it when I put it on my lips! It takes a couple coats to build the color up, but I really love the shade on me and it didn’t dry down weirdly on my lips like it did on my hand.
One thing I do want to mention is that it has a VERY strong (borderline sickening) fruity scent- very much like the smell of the 100% Pure mascaras, if you’ve smelled those before. I really dislike the smell, but I love the color and formula of this gloss so much that I’ve been using it anyways, haha. The scent also doesn’t linger too long once you’ve applied it, thankfully!
Like I said, yet another great box from Mapleblume! There are a very small few of these left to purchase, so go and grab yours immediately if you’re interested and don’t want to miss out!

I am all about face masks but I am very sensitive to smells. How does this one smell?

I want to see the lipgloss on. I can see why you wouldn’t like it in the tube. It looks very 80’s.

I’ve always been curious as to how this subscription boxes work. Do you get to choose the products?
Chelsea says
It depends on the subscription box. Some of them let you choose a product or a couple of products (like Goodbeing) and some are all picked for you, like this one. :)
