It’s been a few months since the last one, but I’m back with another review of the Mapleblume box! First, let me give you a quick rundown: Mapleblume is a luxury clean beauty box that delivers at least 5 full size or deluxe size products every three months. They feature amazing brands time and time again and I have discovered SO many of my favorite products through Mapleblume. Now, let’s dig in to the February box!
Let’s start off strong with the Prim Botanicals Hair Oil. I have seen this recommended by some of my favorite green beauty bloggers and I can’t wait to put it to use! I JUST opened a new hair oil before getting this, so it’ll be a little while yet, but I couldn’t help but give this a quick try since it’s been on my wish list for over two years now.
It goes on the hair more like a dry oil, so it gives a lot of shine without all of the weight and heaviness that something like coconut oil alone imparts. It makes my ends look and feel super hydrated and nourished! I also loooove the smell of it- it’s kind of warm and orangey and spicy in the best way possible. It’s a super familiar and comforting scent to me, but I can’t quite put my finger on what it reminds me of. Can’t wait to start using this regularly!
I am very happy to see a body oil in this box, especially since it’s lavender scented! I’m not really a body lotion person because I find they take too long to absorb, so I always go for a body oil instead. This one from M.S Skincare is the perfect size to take me through summer and it smells so beautiful!
Another inclusion from M.S Skincare is their Sundays Detox Bath Salts. I complain about this on probably a daily basis at this point, haha, but we don’t have a bath in the house we’re renting right now and it makes me SO sad. In the year we’ve been here, I’ve accumulated probably 15 different bath products that I’m just hoarding until we move somewhere with a bath (I also take them with me when I go to my parents house or hotels, haha). This bath salt blend is meant to replenish vital nutrients and elements to the body as well as relax tired muscles. I’m very looking forward to the day I get to use this!
There are two makeup products in this month’s Mapleblume box, and both are from the Australian brand Ere Perez. I’ve heard a lot of good stuff about this brand over the last year or so, but haven’t tried anything myself yet. I really want to try their Oat Milk Foundation, but that’s a post for another day, haha. In this box, I received the Ere Perez Jojoba Eye Pencil in Stone (a gorgeous slate grey that will be perfect for a smokey eye) and the Ere Perez Avocado Waterproof Mascara in Black. I’m particularly excited to try the mascara because hello, clean AND waterproof?! I’m so intrigued. I’ll be sure to report back on this!
The last item in the February Mapleblume box is the Viva Organics Hyaluronic Acid Serum. This could not have come at a better time! My skin has been SO dehydrated lately and just a week into using this serum, it already feels a million times better. It’s like Mapleblume just knew! ;) I’ve been using this once daily, however the instructions say to use it twice, so I’m definitely going to step it up because my skin needs all the help it can get right now.
The Mapleblume box for February 2019 is valued at $290.35CAD and is only $120CAD to subscribe to (or $130CAD for a one-time purchase). I’ve said this many times before and I’ll say it again, but Mapleblume is easily the BEST clean beauty subscription box out there. The value is always well beyond what you pay and never do I feel like there are any “filler” products just to make it seem more valuable- the products curated for this box truly are so luxurious and high-performing. There is still a little time to get the February box if you’re interested, so subscribe ASAP!
