Every time another Mapleblume box shows up at my door, I think I couldn’t possibly be more impressed with the selection of products than I was the previous month. Turns out, I get proved wrong every time! Mapleblume is a luxury beauty box that always features natural/organic/clean luxury skincare and makeup products. I have found several holy grail status favorites through this box and really look forward to receiving it every couple of months!
So, what was in April’s Mapleblume box?
Sometimes I like to save the best for last, but this time I’ll start with what I’m most excited about. I get giddy anytime I see Fitglow Beauty in the Mapleblume box, and discovering that the Fitglow Skin Vita Rich Creme ($109) was just the cherry of all cherries on top! This cost of this product alone literally covers the entire cost of April’s box, HELLO mega value!
It is meant to improve skin hydration and elasticity, provide environmental protection, reduce inflammation and help even out skin tone and texture. I haven’t started using this yet as I’m working my way through a couple of the Honey Belle moisturizers I received in another subscription box, but you can bet I’ll be digging into this as soon as I’m done those.
My body lotion/butter collection is beginning to get a bit outrageous, but the Root + Willow Body Butter in Fig and Plum ($32) is a definite keeper. The scent is deliciously sweet and definitely very figgy + plummy. It’s made of shea butter, mango seed butter and grape seed oil. It quickly melts into the skin upon digging some of the jar and absorbs quickly, leaving your skin super soft and non-greasy. It’s officially living on my desk!
Still on the Root + Willow train, April’s Mapleblume box also contained a Root + Willow Matcha & Mint lip balm ($6). You’d think I’d get sick of receiving lip balms in beauty boxes, but I really never do. It’s one of those things that I will always use and I stash them absolutely everywhere. I haven’t cracked this one open yet, but I love peppermint so I imagine I will love this!
I got rid of like 99% of the nail polish I owned when I started learning about all of the nasty ingredients that are commonly found in nail polish, so it’s been nice getting a few new polishes with better-for-you ingredients through subscription boxes. Based on the packaging, I thought this Sundays polish ($18) in shade No. 4 was a cream color (which I was totally cool with), but I was even more excited upon opening when I realized that it’s a borderline dupe for my all time favorite polish color (that I had to get rid of), Essie’s French Affair. So stoked to try this polish out!
I can trust that Mapleblume will introduce me to a new skincare brand with every box, and I have yet to be even remotely disappointed in any of the skincare picks that have been included. This Lavido Purifying Cleanser ($29) with pomegranate peel, orange blossom and carrot helps to cleanse, refresh and restore your skin. The reviews for this sound great, so I’m really looking forward to opening this up when I finish the cleanser I’m currently working through!
Lastly we have a Vapour Organic Beauty Siren Lipstick in Au Pair ($25), a beautiful berry pink shade. I love how pigmented these lipsticks are and also find them to be super comfortable and moisturizing on the lips. This lipstick has a very sweet and fruity scent to it (from the fruit flavored oils in it, I’m assuming). I’d definitely love to own more shades of this Vapour lipstick!
Total value of the April Mapleblume box: $219 (USD)
Cost of the Mapleblume box: $120 (CAD, so roughly $90USD)
THAT. VALUE. THOUGH. Mapleblume has just started to shipping to the US as well, so now both my Canadian AND American readers can treat themselves with this luxury beauty box! The June box (which I can basically guarantee will be just as amazing as the April box) is available until the end of the month, as long as supplies last, so get yours now! If you’re hesitant to do the every second month subscription, you can pay $10(CAD) more and just get a one time box. Mapleblume has a whole ton of 5 star reviews for a reason, so make sure to grab the June box ASAP if you’re interested!
