Guys. My life right now? Such a mess. Work has more or less been on hold since mid April just because there has been so much going on with having Cole’s sister visiting for a few weeks, going to Mexico, and then my trip to Toronto this past weekend. I know, woe is me for having all the funs, but it seriously sucks when you’re the only employee in your business and you take time off because you’re the one who has to play catch up when you’re back! So here I am, trying to get my life in order again, haha. Let’s start with some seriously overdue posts, shall we? ;)
The MAC x Brooke Candy collection (part two) was released online on April 28th and in select MAC locations on May 5th. In case you’re wondering who Brooke Candy even is (no shame, I had no idea either), Wikipedia tells me she’s an American rapper and singer, and Google Images shows me that she looks pretty damn cool, haha. The packaging for this collection is pretty awesome and I’m loving the product shades!
I was sent three products from the MAC x Brooke Candy collection to try out- two lipsticks and a bronzer. Let’s start with the bronzer, because it’s almost summer and I’m pretty sure we’re all dying for a good glow at this point!
The bronzer in this collection is a fan favorite that is part of MAC’s permanent collection- it’s the Bronzing Powder in Golden. It’s a soft golden beige with a little bit of shimmer to it and it’s definitely a bronzer that I’d say is more suited to fair skin, as it’s relatively subtle once blended out. I honestly don’t own much as far as non-matte bronzers go, so I’m happy to add this one to my collection as it’s not too heavy on the shimmer. This bronzer retails for $27.
There are four lipsticks in this collection: Whirl and Doowop, which are both permanent, and Mind Control (which is the most gorgeous bright cherry red, I neeeeed this in my life) and Which Witch (a matte rich purple), which are both limited edition. I was sent Whirl and Doowop, which I’m super excited about because they have both been on my wishlist for a while now.
Whirl is a matte dirty rose and Doowop is a matte bright pink. I have quite pigmented lips, so nude shades don’t often look good on me- but because Whirl is a little bit darker and warm, I feel like I can actually pull this off as a nude (yay!). Doowop is just one of those beautiful, bright shades that you want to have in your collection for when you’re feeling colorful. Loving both of these! These lipsticks retail for $18 each.

Also part of this collection:
- two nail lacquers: Madame Candy (a nude cream) & Black Stallion (a midnight purple), $13 each
- two lip pencils: Whirl (a dirty rose) & Night Crawler (a deep plum), $17.50 each
- two Vamplify glosses: Pamela (a dirty rose) & Till Death Do Us Part (an intense dark purple), $21 each
- a liquid liner in Boot Black (an intense black), $22
- Haute & Naughty Lash in black, $22
- two eye glosses: Whiteyin (a shimmery white with multicolored pearl) & Blackyang (a black with red and blue pearl), $23 each

I legit need Whirl. It’s such a pretty color! I also really love the packaging for this entire collection and I may end up buying a few items just for my little archive collection.

The packaging of this collection is awesome! I love Doowop and the bronzer also looks like a really wearable shade – I’m usually pretty scared of bronzers, haha!
