I’ll admit, I have yet to find a mascara in the green beauty world that really gives me the long, fluttery lashes that I so desire. I haven’t tried a ton of them though, as mascara takes a decent amount of time to get through and I don’t want to waste the ones I’ve purchased even if I don’t love them, so I’m sure what I’m looking for in a clean mascara is out there somewhere! In the meantime, I’ve been testing out the Luna Nectar Moon Boost Lash & Brow Enhancing Serum to try to achieve the long, luscious lashes that I dream of naturally.
Moon Boost is a 100% natural lash and brow serum. So, how does it work?
Our special combination of organic oils, herbal extracts, vitamins, and proteins work together to nourish and prolong the growth cycle of the follicles of your lashes and brows, sealing in moisture, and encouraging length to your full potential.
I have been a user of not so clean lash serums in the past and while I’ve always seen great results when using them, the results are gone almost as soon as the product is and I’ve been left with patchy lashes. Moon Boost works to nourish and strengthen your lashes, which in turn allows them to grow longer and stronger. It’s recommended for people with lash extensions as well, since strengthening your lashes will help reduce fall out and therefore your extensions will last longer.
So now you’re wondering… does it actually work? YUP! I wanted to include before and after photos for you, but I had a bit of an unfortunate lash incident not so long ago, haha. I got a lash lift and had an allergic reaction to the perming lotion (not at all the fault of the place I had the lash lift done, I’d like to note), and I ended up having a ton of lashes fall out… so there goes any chance of me showing you proper results for a few months!
I’ve been using this serum pretty consistently since that happened and it has without a doubt helped with the regrowth (and with keeping the lashes that didn’t fall out strong enough that they wouldn’t fall out the next time I rubbed my eyes a little). They are slowly but surely getting back to their normal full state, and in that time I’ve seen a lot of growth in the lashes that hadn’t fallen out after the allergic reaction. They are still a bit patchy due to the inconsistencies in length, but I think within another few weeks they’ll be looking much better! I definitely have this serum to thank for the steady regrowth.
Generally, you should notice a difference around 2-3 weeks, with full results at 6-8 weeks. I can’t wait to see how my lashes look in another month!
I would absolutely recommend giving this product a try if you’re looking for a natural option when it comes to lash serums. I take a lot of comfort in knowing exactly what ingredients are going that close to my eyeballs, haha. The Luna Nectar Moon Boost Lash & Brow Enhancing Serum retails for $75CAD and can be purchased on their site or in a variety of stockists throughout BC and Ontario.
