My skin has been problematic lately, and I don’t know if I’m just one of those lucky people (that was sarcasm- total sarcasm) who suddenly starts having breakouts after a whole life of barely any ever, or if my skin is mad at me for changing my skincare routine every couple months and introducing new products too often. I’m gonna go with (and hope for. and pray for, haha) the latter, because I really have been trying a lot of different products over the last few months in an attempt to find the best of the best for my skin.
Rest assured that I haven’t been (and won’t be) singing praises for every single thing I’m trying, because my skin has seriously hated a few of the products I have tried lately, and those ones definitely aren’t making the cut to be shared on the blog. Anyways, my skin is kind of in a breakout limbo right now and I’m slowly removing products from my daily routine that are the main suspects in the cause of these breakouts. One product that I have introduced in the past month that HAS been working wonders for these breakouts, though, is the FOREO LUNA.
The LUNA is a cleansing device, similar to brushes like the Clarisonic and Soniclear, but totally different at the same time. Rather than being a brush with a spinning motion (which can be quite abrasive on my sensitive skin), it’s an extra-gentle silicone brush that delivers up to 8,000 pulsations per minute to remove dead skin and unclog pores. The backside of the brush delivers lower frequency pulsations to help smooth fine lines and wrinkles. I have the pink LUNA, which is for sensitive/normal skin, and I’ve been able to use it twice daily with no sensitivity issues whatsoever. There are + and – buttons to intensify or lessen the intensity of the vibrations as well for if you want a stronger cleansing or, alternatively, if you have super sensitive skin. There is a LUNA for combination skin, for sensitive/normal skin, for ultra-sensitive skin and for men. I’m thinking about getting Cole the one for men!
The LUNA has been a game changer for me. I love the deep cleansing that a brush gives vs. just washing with your hands, and even more so, I love that the LUNA is so gentle that I can use this with no sensitivity issues at all. The LUNA is completely waterproof, so it just lives in my shower, and a full charge will last for up to 450 uses (WHAT?!)- I’ve been using this for over a month and have yet to charge it again after the first initial charge, so that claim is looking pretty accurate thus far! The LUNA also requires no replacement brushes, which is a great selling point for me.
It is clear I’m in love. The LUNA has been saving my skin from what would probably be a way worse situation considering all of the products I’ve been trying over the last few months. It’s super long battery life, convenient size and ease of use are all huge wins for me, not to mention the fact that it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin whatsoever. No matter your skin type, I highly recommend the LUNA by FOREO. While it is pricey ($199), I genuinely think it is a worthy investment if your skin is troublesome or you’ve had troubles with sensitivity to facial cleansing brushes in the past.
Do you use a facial cleansing brush?

The Foreo Luna is so much gentler on skin than any of the brushes. The exfoliation isn’t as strong but it’s so comforting to use. And if you are old then turn it around for the massaging. So wonderful.

SO much for gentle, for sure! I really liked my Soniclear but had to be careful with it because the brush could be a bit abrasive if I held it in one spot too long. No worries with the LUNA though! Love it.

I’d love to try a Foreo one of these days because I have such sensitive skin. It sounds great!

It’d probably be perfect for you then!

this looks awesome! i only use the soniclear maybe twice a week, because i’m afraid i’m over exfoliating.

That is the thing I have learned over time. Spending more on good skincare is worth it, then you can buy all the cheap makeup you want :) I need expensive makeup to cover up the years of bad skincare heheh

I have kind of set aside my beloved sonic brush for a while because I can’t stop using my LUNA. Never thought that would happen…

I loved your review. Mine is actually charging up right as I type this out. I can’t wait to use it.

I had Luna Mini for years, and now I got to try the full-sized Luna, too. They’re fabulous! I like them for traveling, and those gentle bristles don’t irritate my skin either.

I love my Luna. I have the blue one and use it everyday–it’s much gentler than the Clairsonic.

I love that there aren’t any replacement brush heads or anything like that – that’s honestly the biggest thing that’s turned me off of the Clarisonic/other facial brushes.

I really like the Michael Todd Soniclear, but I just won a Foreo Luna in an iFabbo giveaway, so I’m excited to get it and try it!

I am in love with mine. I love my soniclear but I love this one more and glad I can still use my soniclear on my body :)

The sensitive skin one seems to be the one people love! Damn my combo skin!
