I am all about neutral eyes, nude lips and glowy skin lately. It’s just so easy and is basically guaranteed to always look good! Also, it’s a huge plus working with neutral eyeshadows because you can pretty much mix up any combo of neutral shades you want, and it’s going to look good. I’m definitely all about what is easiest when it comes to everyday makeup, and glo∙minerals is a new favorite brand of mine that helps me to achieve a quick, easy and gorgeous everyday neutral makeup look. I have teamed up with glo∙minerals and The Beauty Council to come up with an everyday neutral makeup look the satisfies my current daily beauty needs: neutral eyes, nude lips and glowy skin.
glo∙minerals sent over a few products for to me to use in this look: a few neutral colored eyeshadows (which are so soft, silky and totally buildable), a Suede Matte Stick in Bliss (which is a dark nude lipstick that comes off fairly red on me because my lips are quite red to start with), and two new holy grail products: a blush in Papaya (which is swear is the most PERFECT blush for fair skinned girls! I am in love with this!) and a Shimmer Duo (which partial proceeds from are donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation- extra love for this product) that is the most perfect highlight. Let’s get to the look I created!
I went for a halo eyeshadow look with these colors because I wanted to stray slightly from my usual lid, crease, outer-v routine. I started by blending Haze into my crease, and then applied Orchid to the outer and inner corners of my eye, leaving a space in the center of my lid. In that space, I patted on Sand Pebble and then followed with a bit of the pink highlight from the Shimmer Duo to amp up the brightness and shimmer a bit. I then took a tiny bit of Twig on a blending brush and blended that into the crease, as well as carefully blended just the very edges of the middle, bright part of the lid. Using a liner brush, I carried a tiny bit of Twig down to the outer half of my lower lashline. Lastly, I applied Fawn right under my brow bone and used the pink highlight in the Shimmer Duo on the inner corners of my eyes, and then followed with a very thin line of black liner on my top lid (just enough to make my lashes look a bit thicker) and a couple coats of mascara.
For my face, I used a new foundation that I LOVE and will be telling you all about in a few days, the gorgeous glo∙minerals blush in Papaya, and some of the pink highlight in the Shimmer Duo on the top of my cheekbones, very tip of my nose and my cupid’s bow. For my lips, I used the suede matte lipstick in Bliss and dabbed a tiny bit of a very light pink gloss just in the center of my lips for some extra shine. I couldn’t believe how smooth this lipstick was considering that it’s matte. Most matte lipsticks are quite drying for me, but this seriously glided on my lips like chapstick. That could maybe have something to do with the fact that it’s got vitamin C, vitamin E, mango seed oil AND shea butter in it… but just maybe ;)
glo∙minerals products contain a powerful blend of antioxidants and all have non-comedogenic, talc-free formulas. They’re also formulated with anti-inflammatory ingredients, which is good news for my fellow sensitive-skinned friends! My most favorite glo∙minerals product thus far is the Shimmer Duo, followed closely by the blush in Papaya, and my wishlist has officially grown. Next on my list are more Suede Matte Sticks, this time in Pop, Punch and Port (apparently I like “P” names, haha). glo∙minerals has definitely made it’s way into my everyday spring beauty routine, that’s for sure!
