While this post was sponsored by WAHL Canada, all opinions are my own.
My hair has always been straight, fine and thick, and like most other straight haired ladies, I’ve often wished that I had some wave or curl to my hair. I know lots of wavy/curly haired girls that have always wished for my straight hair, too. The grass is always greener when it comes to hair, isn’t it? Thankfully, there are endless amounts of hair tools that can help us temporarily achieve the hair we so desire, and the WAHL Skinny Curler is my new fave!
I was totally unsure of what to expect when I first saw how skinny the Skinny Curler really is. The skinnier the wand, the tighter the curls… so this was a bit of an experiment for me, considering I usually go for loose waves when I’m curling my hair. Well, I’m definitely glad I gave it a shot because the Skinny Curler gives me a ton of volume and the cutest spiraled curls!
I am obsesssssed. This look is so unlike what I can achieve with the other curling wands I own and I love the beachy vibe! A good dousing of sea salt spray and a gentle brush through with my fingers loosened up the curls the perfect amount and gave me so much volume.
This 7mm wide wand (basically the size of a chopstick, for reference) heats up to 215°C/420°F and you can start curling in less than 60 seconds. It creates super well-defined curls that hold for days- even for people with hair that won’t usually hold a curl. It comes with a heat resistant glove but I don’t find I need to use it, because it has a cool tip on the end of the wand that helps me avoid burning my fingertips.
Check out how I got this gorgeous and easy spiraled half top knot using the WAHL Skinny Curler below!
