sandals from Ardene // arm party & sunglasses from Charlotte Russe
I like to be a mix of looking nice but also feeling totally comfy for summer, especially in the heat. The other weekend, Cole, my brother and a couple friends of ours took a trip across the border to go shopping in Bellingham. It’s nice to hit up stores that you don’t have in your area and find some good deals (yay for American shopping!). Plus, gas is super cheap in the states. That’s reason enough alone to go in my books.
To stay cool and comfy, I wore a lightweight white tee and the cutest pair of striped, high-waisted shorts from Choies. These are seriously the comfiest ever, and I got multiple comments on them while I was shopping! They are made of almost a sweatpant-like material and feel like you’re lounging in PJ shorts. They are also nice and high-waisted but still long enough in the legs that my butt doesn’t try to escape via the bottom of my shorts like a lot of high-waisted pairs tend to do.
Now, let’s talk about this bag for a second. That is a thing of absolute beauty. This is by far and easily the nicest bag I have ever owned. It’s potentially the most gorgeous piece of somethin’ in the whole world (too far? I don’t care, haha). I chose the Nica Thea tote bag in the black and grey combo, but it’s also available in a really classy brown version.
It’s the perfect size for me to carry all the necessities and then some. The inside is really pretty as well, it’s a floral print and has just enough pockets for me. I am seriously in love with this bag, no lies. It’s also on sale…. score for you! This will definitely be my “go-to” bag this summer to instantly make me look dressed up.
On a sidenote, Zoe also liked my bag.
