I did a year and a half of university before realizing I had no idea what the heck I was doing or what I wanted to end up being. A year and a half of student loans for essentially no reason. I was totally in it for the “university” mentality of friends and parties and good times, but the whole part where I went to a little local university and didn’t live on campus or hang out with anyone different than my same friends from high school kind of didn’t help with the uni-mentality thing I was going for. So instead I just ended up spending a whole ton of money before realizing university just wasn’t for me at this point in my life and moved on to other things (like starting my blog and also my design business). I may go back someday, but right now I am happy with where I’m at.
When I was in high school, dreaming of this awesome idea I had in my head of what university would be like, I totally planned how my dorm room would look over and over again. Unfortunately, the dorm situation obviously never happened and given that I’m a few years into my adult life now, if I do go to university again at some point it certainly won’t be to stay in a dorm… so instead I will channel my perfect dorm idea here on my blog to all the potential university students that may be reading this that I can live vicariously through, haha. One thing that hasn’t changed from my idea of a dorm room when I was back in high school til now is that I would totally hit up Pottery Barn to decorate. PBdorm has PERFECT pieces to have the prettiest, most functional dorm room ever!
PBdorm has tons of options for all different styles. Let’s be honest here, I want to decorate my HOUSE with PBdorm, never mind just my dorm room!
