While this post was sponsored by Clearly, all thoughts and opinions remain my own.
If you follow me on Instagram and you watch my IG stories, you’ve probably seen/heard me talk about my computer glasses from Clearly before. As most of you probably already know, I’m a full-time blogger and web designer, so I’m on my computer at least 8 hours of the day. This means my eyes get tired, sore, dry and just overall super strained from staring at a screen all day long. Or at least they used to, until I discovered my secret weapon!
What are computer glasses? They are glasses (prescription or non-prescription, you can use and benefit from them regardless of whether you need glasses to actually see properly or not) with a special KODAK BlueReflect coating on the lens that reflects some of the blue-tinted light that comes from your computer screen. You can actually see a blue and yellow tint to the lenses when they are filtering the light- it’s quite neat to be able to see them in action!
I’ve been using these for a couple of years now (in various styles, I probably have 3 or 4 pairs at this point, haha) and honestly can’t go a day in the office without them. I can get maybe half an hour into my work without them before my eyes start to burn, and it’s almost immediate relief when I put them on! I no longer get headaches from being on the computer for too long and my eyes feel a billion times better at the end of a long work day.
My two favorite pairs of computer glasses from Clearly are the Joseph Marc 4114 in both Navy & Tortoise (pictured in this post) and in Orchid Fade (which I don’t think are available anymore, but they’re a really pretty pinky/orangey/purple pair!). This specific frame suits my face shape really well and I get a lot of compliments on my glasses!
If you feel like you have a hard to shop for face shape like I do (how weird does that sound? Hahaha), don’t fear. You can enter your measurements into the MyFit tool and they’ll suggest glasses that should fit you well!
The best part (other than the whole no burning eyes and headaches thing, obviously, haha) is that Clearly’s glasses are SO affordable, and they often have a good sale running on top of their already great prices (hint… keep reading for an absolute steal of a deal). They also have a buy-one-give-one initiative in partnership with the Essilor Vision Foundation, which helps give glasses to people in need all around the world. Shopping for a cause… I love it!
If you’re on the computer as often as I am, you NEED these in your life. I promise you, they are absolutely game changing. I’ve had people order them after I posted on IG stories in the past, and then message me later on to tell me how much they love them too! You’ll notice a difference (and by difference, I mean a lack of) in eye strain after the first day of wearing these and you’ll never want to go back to a bare-eyed existence.
Get your pair (glasses, frames and lenses) for 30% off with code OLIVEANDIVY!
P.S. For my American readers, Clearly and Coastal are the same thing- so look up Coastal and get you some computer glasses ASAP!
P.P.S. Like my punny post title? No? Okay cool, hahaha.
