For me, spring is all about dewy skin, pink lips and neutral eyes- and the newly released Chanel Les Sautoirs De Coco makeup collection most definitely ticks off all of those boxes. This beautiful collection was inspired by Coco Chanel’s love for pearls, and that’s apparent throughout the shades in this collection as well as the gorgeous imprinting on the highlighter. If I’m being real, I don’t even think I could pick a favorite product from this collection. Everything is just so perfect for spring!
Who doesn’t love a good cream blush? Okay, I am guilty of despising cream products in a past life (and by past life I mean a couple years ago, haha), but I’ve turned a corner and now want ALL the cream products. They have such a natural look to them on the skin because they don’t add that powdery texture, so I love using them when I’m going for a flawless, dewy face look. I apply all cream products with a stippling brush as I find that’s the easiest way to blend them out without getting too heavy handed (or without having to use my fingers, because I seriously hate doing that).
Anyways, after all that rambling, this Le Blush Creme de Chanel doesn’t actually seem to be part of this collection according to the internets, haha. It may have been accidentally included in my press package and was part of the Spring 2016 collection, I’m not totally sure. Regardless, this is the shade Rose Perle and it’s a gorgeous blush for a pretty pink flush (see swatches in the picture after the next one). It also must be really great, because it seems to be sold out everywhere except for in Canada, where you can get it from Hudson’s Bay for $45CAD!
I don’t know if my brain was functioning properly when I was doing these collection photos, because I somehow managed to not take individual shots of some of the products. One of those products was the Chanel Perles et Fantaisies Highlighter ($70USD/$76CAD), which is a real beauty (shown in the last image in the post). The imprinting on it is never-want-to-swatch worthy (but I did for the greater good, haha) and I love both of the highlight shades! One half is a soft pink and the other is a pearly white. Neither are super shimmery, but do have a nice glow to them. These are especially great shades for those with fair skin!

I’ve already mentioned a few times lately that I think I’m turning into a bit of a gloss person, and this Chanel Lèvres Scintillates Glossimer ($30USD/$36CAD) in Pinctada only reinforces that for me. It’s comfortable to wear and it’s a nice bright pink that isn’t too intense for everyday wear. There are two other shades of gloss in this collection as well: Babiole (a darker pink) and Clarte (a clear that looks like it may have a little bit of a pink-blue iridescence throughout, judging by product photos).
Okay, this lipstick. If you saw me unbox this on Snapchat, you already know that I’m OBSESSED. It’s the most perfect pink with slightest touch of coral to it, which makes it different from other pink lipsticks I own. This is like a step up from a YLBB (your lips but better, if you’re unsure of what that means), like maybe a YLBB x 10,000? It’s the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Intense Long-Wear Lip Color ($37USD) in the shade La Délicate.
Seriously. HOW PRETTY?! Also part of the collection, but not pictured as I don’t have it, is the Chanel Rouge Allure Intense Long-Wear Lip Color ($37USD) in Indemodable.
Again, didn’t get a picture of the eyeshadow palette by itself. What was I thinking? I have no idea, haha. I had never used a Chanel eyeshadow palette before, so I went in without expectations for the Chanel Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow palette in Tissé Ombre De Lune ($61USD). When swatched dry, the shadows were very sheer and required a lot of building up. When swatched wet, though, these shadows really came to life!
Last product to mention- the Chanel Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow ($36USD) in Iridescent. Again, didn’t get a solo product picture for this one (okay, my real excuse is that I was just so excited about how much I love the lipstick that I was distracted… fair enough, right?), but I can promise you that it’s absolutely beautiful. It’s a buttery smooth off-white eyeshadow with a slight pink/purple/blue iridescence to it. It’s texture reminds me of the ColourPop shadows with the sort of sponginess it has to it. It’s gorgeous!
Now that I’ve totally overwhelmed you with all the beautiful Chanel, what’s your favorite item from the Chanel Les Sautoirs De Coco makeup collection?

Haha I realized after that I took a bunch with all the products around the lipstick, but the lipstick was the focus in all of them. Clearly, I like it a lot ;) And YES. The shadows wet?! Amazing!!

Ok that Illuminating powder has got to be the prettiest cosmetic I’ve ever seen. The pearl and and necklace imprint is genius. Chanel lipsticks are one of my favorite products. So lush and the colors are always perfectly pretty.

Beautiful photos! I really like that lip gloss colour.
Jen says
Ah, love all the pinks! That gloss is totally beautiful and how pretty is that quad applied wet! :)
Nawi says
Hi, what a great review. Have you used the quad on your eyes yet? Lots of bloggers say it’s not good so therefore i have not ordered this because I cannot swatch it anywhere, can just order online and think it’s too much of a risk. In the First picture the gloss does not look like the pinctada gloss? I would love to hear back from you. Thanks xx
Chelsea says
Thanks for reading Nawi! I have since used the quad on my eyes and find it to be very sheer. You have to build up the colors quite a lot. I didn’t try applying any of them wet on my eyes because I was doing a light look that day, but I’ll have to try again. If you are wanting very pigmented colors, I’d say skip this one. The gloss pictured is definitely Pinctada, the lighting was just really off on the day I took the flat lays so the editing to compensate for the poor lighting skewed the color in the tube a bit. Hope this helps! xoxo

Hi Chelsea, Thank you so much I am relieved about the gloss as I have order it together with the IDO 112 and the Clarte gloss I was looking for a hot pink as it shows on your lips and not a soft pink as it appears in the first picture. Thanks voor your honest opion on the quad I am looking for a pigmented palette nit a sheer one and I do not want to wet my quads anymore as they get messing and ending up getting hard and not easy to apply. Same with my IDO in miriafique I used it wet and now it’s gotten so hard and dry that I have to through it out. Thanks so much for responding your are very helpful!

So glad I could help!! The gloss is seriously gorgeous, you won’t regret that purchase for sure. xo
