I posted a “beauty tip” on Instagram the other day- possibly one of the most simple, straightforward, “duh” beauty tips of all time, yet this ended up being the post with the most engagement I’ve ever had on Instagram. What was the beauty tip? Always wash off your makeup. You may be sitting there thinking, WOW! Great revelation, Chelsea! with all the sarcasm you can muster, hahaha, but seriously. SO many people don’t do it, and the biggest reason for this (as per the comments on the post), is that it’s just too much effort, especially after a long day (or long night out, amiright?).
Enter your new best friend on those days: Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes. These are a huge step up from the usual “one size fits all” approach to face wipes, as they offer different formulas for different skin types. While my skin isn’t necessarily sensitive, there have been several different brands of makeup wipes I have tried that completely swell my eyes up by the next morning because they irritate my skin so much, which goes to show that the one formula for all skin types face wipes thing just doesn’t work for everyone.
The Cucumber & Sage towelettes are my favorite of the bunch. They are best suited for normal to dry skin (me!) and have a super refreshing cucumber scent to them. These wipes are a soothing way to remove makeup, cleanse and tone all in one no-rinse step.
The Pink Grapefruit towelettes smell AMAZING. If you like grapefruit, you will absolutely love the smell of these. These wipes are for normal to oily skin, and they are great for cleansing away dirt, oil and makeup. They’re also gentle enough to use daily (even for those who are acne-prone)!
If my skin is feeling extra sensitive, maybe due to use of a new product that doesn’t mesh well with my skin, or even a sunburn, the Sensitive towelettes are amazing. They are super gentle, fragrance free AND hypoallergenic. They remove dirt, oil and makeup and contain cotton extract that softens, rice extract that moisturizes, and aloe that soothes the skin.
Best of all? These Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes are 99.1% natural and full of skin-nourishing ingredients. They contain no parabens, phthalates, or petrochemicals. I’ll take that over a cloth full of chemicals any day! These towelettes will be your life-saver after a long day of work where all you want to do is Netflix and sleep (preferably both at the same time), or after a long night of dancing with friends where sudsing up your face in the bathroom sink is the last thing you’d ever want to do.
These wipes are perfect for women of all ages, skin types and lifestyles. They’re also just under $6 per pack at both Target and Walmart, so you’re not breaking the bank by switching to a more natural option!
Have you tried the Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes yet?

I tried a sample of the wipes in the yellow package and I liked them a lot. I need to buy a full package of those or the sensitive skin ones.

You should do a post on how you take such pretty photos of products! I rarely have access to natural light (due to working hours), and I have a DSLR but they never come out this nice. Do you use any certain tools or lighting?
Chelsea says
So sorry that I never replied to this- I just realized! 95% of the time I use natural lighting. I have a tiny little hallway at my front door and at certain times of the day, I get enough light there to be able to shoot. I use a white foam board or a silver reflector to help bounce the light back and reduce shadows. It’s SUPER important that you learn your camera and get a good lens- the lens makes all the difference, as does shooting on manual vs auto! I use a 30mm lens. Hope that helps a bit! xo
