I am away for three days helping out at my old summer job… meaning I’m in the middle of nowhere camping with a bunch of teens, woohoo haha. I miss the internets dearly when I’m gone, but it IS nice to disconnect and literally not be able to answer emails or do anything blog and work related. I need that forced break sometimes.
This outfit was perfect for wandering around the market near my house one sunny afternoon recently. It’s comfy (because that’s all I ever preach on here, amiright?) and a great alternative to yoga pants and a hoodie, haha. When I saw these bold printed pants on Riffraff, I knew I needed to try them out. I’ve been trying to step out of my comfort zone with pants lately (I don’t stray far from regular ol’ skinny jeans a lot of the time) so these printed pants were the perfect first step. And I love them.
I’ve also had this Conversation Pieces top sitting in my closet for a couple of months now. I kept trying it on with different outfits and it would always go because it’s super cute, but then I’d be left with a super annoying bra situation because the back is so open. I am definitely not one of those people who is comfortable going about their day bra-less (unless I’m at home in my jammies, obviously), so I needed to find an alternative. It just so happened that not long after I got this top, I was contacted to try out a Lily of France bra that is INSANELY convertible. I’m talking, an apparent 62+ ways to wear it. For real?!?! I totally said yes. And it totally worked, because I’m totally wearing a bra in these photos but you can’t see it in the back. Totally.
This bra is officially a closet staple for me. Every girl needs one! Sure, there’s a little dabble of clear straps in the top but at a quick glance, no one is going to notice. There is no big band right across the middle- wanna know where it’s hiding? The convertible bra comes with thick straps that attach onto the clasps where you normally secure your bra, and they do a little wrap around the front and do up again at the back. So basically my bra is done up, just way lower on my back so it’s hidden. This bra is seriously GENIUS. It can be worn with halters, racerbacks, you name it, it can work with it. It is an absolute must-have, and when I’m able to find it online for only $36 there’s really no reason not to get one!
