The Esteé Edit is one of the newer brands to hit Sephora, having been released mid-March. It’s a beauty and skincare line targeted at millennials and curated by guest editors Kendall Jenner and Irene Kim. I went to a media preview a few weeks back to see all 0f the products in action and hear different tips, tricks and uses for each product, and guys… I’m in love with this line, seriously.
Let’s start with The Barest Blush (shown here in Coy Coral), because you all know I loooove my blushes. As soon as we started checking out the makeup, I was instantly drawn to these gorgeous matte blushes with their splash of gold shimmer (which isn’t actually throughout the whole blush, just the very top layer- though I kind of wish it was, because it’s so pretty!). Of the four shades, of course I needed the coral one immediately! I definitely haven’t been disappointed in this product. These blushes are super pigmented, long wearing, and I absolutely love the coral shade for summer.
Beam Team Hydrate + Glow is a double-duty product in that it’s part skincare and part makeup. It’s an illuminating moisturizer that contains hyaluronic acid, and it helps to give your skin an all-over, lit from within glow. I like to apply this under or mixed into my BB cream or foundation for extra glow, but you can also wear a bit of this on it’s own to make you a bit more radiant. Just be careful to not go in too heavy handed if you are wearing it by itself, as it does have a fair bit of shimmer to it.
In addition to the moisturizer part of the product, there is also a cream highlight under the cap. It’s perfect for tapping onto the high points of your face to add a more concentrated glow!
I will admit, I was totally skeptical about the More Than Brows pencil when I first saw it. It’s a three-in-one product that you can use as eyeshadow, as eyeliner, and for filling in your brows. It sounded fine and dandy for a shadow or liner, but I really didn’t think it was going to work for my brows, being that it’s a fairly chubby pencil. Turns out, I was totally wrong!
The makeup artist showing us these products demoed this one on me and ohhhh my gosh, my brows looked AMAZING. The pencil is SO soft- essentially like a powder, but you have the precision of a pencil. I am obsessed with this. Also, I have a hard time finding light colored brow pencils that aren’t super warm, but the Blonde shade is perfection for those of you who, like me, prefer a slightly more cool-toned blonde brow pencil!
Aaaand onto lipsticks, everyone’s favorite! As I’ve said a million times before, as much as I love nude lip colors on other people, they just generally don’t work well with my skin tone and lip color. They usually wash me out, are too light against my quite pink lips and just straight up make me look sickly. There are, however, a few rare exceptions, and it turns out that The Barest Lip Color in Exposed is one of them.
Exposed is a light beige nude and some way, some how, I can actually pull it off! I love this shade so much, and the formula of The Barest Lip Colors is beautiful. They are a mix of a lipstick and a lip balm, so they’re super creamy and hydrating thanks to muru muru butter and flower petal waxes. They start off sheer and can easily be built up to a more opaque finish. I just can’t get enough of these!
I was told by the makeup artist showing us the products that The Mattified Lipsticks have been the most popular products from the whole line. I’m not surprised- they are housed in a stunning and sturdy silver bullet with a blue ombre design on the cap, and the range of colors available is so diverse that there is bound to be something for everyone. I was immediately drawn to the bright orange-red shade named Killin’ It- the most perfect summer shade, if you ask me!
The Mattified Lipsticks have, you guessed it, a matte finish- but it’s not a drying matte, it’s very creamy and moisturizing as far as mattes go. It’s almost like if a satin and a matte had a baby, it would be this lipstick, hahaha. I can most definitely see myself buying some more of these!
I have one item from the skincare line, and it’s probably the one item you need from the skincare line, if you’re going to get anything. The Rescue Balm for Face + Body is a product that really does it all. Not only does it instantly hydrate dry skin, but you can also use it with the Flash Illuminator or Beam Team to make a glow lotion for your body, you can use it on the ends of your hair if it’s feeling super dry, you can use it as as face mask… the list goes on! It’s infused with oils from twelve different fruits and nuts, so you just know it’s going to be good. While this is very richly hydrating, it’s very lightweight- the perfect combo, in my opinion.
What have you try from The Esteé Edit so far?

I love chubby pencils like that for my brows – the one from Annabelle is the best. I haven’t tried anything from the line other than a sample of the pore stick, which was pretty good, but not revolutionary. ;) I’ve heard good things about beam team!

Dangit, I totally forgot to include the Pore Stick in this, LOL. It’s sitting on my office floor somewhere….

I was most intrigued by the lightening and darkening lipsticks from this line! Other than that I think everything looks pretty but nothing really stands out for me x
