Going back to school was always a love/hate thing for me. Hate, because, well… school… and love, because I got to see my friends, beginning a new school year was always beginning a new year full of potential and opportunity, and most importantly, if we’re being real, it meant new clothes and makeup. For this girly-girl, back to school shopping was definitely the most exciting part. While I’m not heading back to school anytime soon (or probably ever, haha), I’ve rounded up some of my everyday faves for all of you that are going back to school!
This bronzer is a great back to school buy for a few reasons. Firstly, it’s massive, so you’ll basically never run out. Secondly, the top half is matte and the bottom half is shimmer, so you get the best of both worlds. And thirdly, a portion of the proceeds from the purchase of this product gets donated to Action Against Hunger. Give Back & Glow Forward!
It’s been a loooong time since I tried anything from mark. (Avon), but I’m really loving this little palette! It can be used as a highlight, as a bronzer, or as eyeshadow. You can mix all the shades together or you can pick up color from a single bar, depending on how you’re feeling on any given day.
3. Joe Fresh CC Translucent Pressed Powder (available at Shoppers Drug Mart)
This is a new product to the Joe Fresh line and I’m obsessed with the packaging and overall look of it. Not only is it super pretty, though, but it’s also super soft and and blends into the skin beautifully. It leaves my skin looking airbrushed and feels so light.
You get four sets of undereye patches in a pack of these, which means you can get away with four super late nights per month (Netflix binges, anyone?) and not pay for it with huge undereye bags the next morning.
Summer may be coming to a close, but it definitely doesn’t mean you should start slacking on the sunscreen. This cruelty-free sunscreen can be found at Sephora and is best suited for dry to normal skin types. I love the smooth finish this leaves, making it work great underneath my makeup.
6. Cargo Eye Contour Eyeshadow Palette ($28)
These Cargo palettes come in both warm and cool versions, so you can choose whichever palette is more tailored to your preferences and skin tone. These are definitely palettes for everyday wear- the shades are all fairly light and blend easily. I find that these work best over a primer and I love that these palettes are full of shades that I would definitely hit pan on.
I have said it a billion times before, but I’m a huge fan of Sephora’s brushes. They’re super soft, don’t shed all over me and always come in super cute little brush bags. This set contains all of the basics for an everyday look: three eye brushes, a powder brush and a foundation brush.
This concealer has been taking the beauty world by storm lately, and for good reason. It doesn’t move, it doesn’t crease and it has great coverage. I highly, highly recommend this concealer- and you all know how picky I am with concealers!
9. Too Faced Brow Quickie ($22)
This brush-on fiber gel makes doing your brows everyday super quick and easy, especially when you’re just heading to school and want to add a little extra definition and oomph without having to paint on or pencil in a whole brow.
This mascara adds length and volume without the clumpiness. It also contains ingredients that help to strengthen and condition your lashes, which is obviously a plus!
11. Pixi Multibalm ($12)
I am in loooooove with the Pixi Multibalms! They come in a bunch of different colors and can be used for both the cheeks and the lips. You simply dab the balm onto your cheeks and blend with a stippling brush or your fingers.
I want to give you the chance to try some of these products yourself, so I’m giving away two Cargo Eye Contour Eyeshadow Palettes and a PUR Glow Together Bronzer! All you need to do is enter via the form below. The giveaway is open to residents of the US and Canada, and will end September 30th. Good luck!
