My whole closet used to be all black everything. It was my “safe” color and I have always gravitated towards it when I’m out shopping. A couple of years ago, when I started taking more of an interest in what I wore, I forced myself to buy lots of colors and patterns. While I enjoy wearing patterns and colorful things, I am never more comfortable and confident than when I’m in an all black outfit. Something about black just streamlines, and I love that. Being 5’4″, I need all the streamlining I can get for these little legs, so I like to wear a heeled pair of black booties with black jeans to make me look taller. I learned this on What Not To Wear, I think, haha. This pair from Riffraff are beeeautiful. They have SO many other gorgeous booties right now too! I just ordered this pair and I’m so excited to get them. To make an all black outfit a little more exciting, I love to add a pop of a bold pattern or a bright color. In this case, I went with both of those! I couldn’t choose just one ;)
This scarf is super, super comfortable and I find myself wanting to wear it with everything even when it doesn’t necessarily match. It’s so cozy and I obviously love the pattern, because who doesn’t love flannel right now (and forever and always)? We also already know how much I looooove leopard print anything. I have quite the collection in my wardrobe, and I featured a few of my favorite pieces from that collection on Instagram the other day. A few people asked if I’d be showing the bag on the blog and where they could buy it… so here is it’s little feature! I’ve never owned a bucket bag before, but I’m loving how roomy it is and I love the tassel detailing on it. It’s just beautiful!
