I loved the last one so much, I’ve decided to do another 7 piece remix! A “7 piece remix” is where I choose seven pieces of clothing and create multiple outfits out of those seven pieces. This time, I went for a dressier vibe to the outfits. I mixed some trendy dressy pieces with some pretty pieces c/o The Palm Tree Boutique. Most of these outfits would be perfect to wear to a holiday party and are possibly pieces that you’d have in your closet that you could pair together (or get at affordable prices from The Palm Tree Boutique!). Pin the below image to reference later for some easy holiday outfits!
For the first outfit, I paired this Keeping It Cozy sweater with cuffed dark wash jeans. I wore my dressiest flats (I don’t own very dressy flats I realized, I need to get on that!) and dressed up the sweater by intertwining two different gold necklaces together. The lacy detail along the bottom of the sweater adds a little interest to the otherwise casual but classy outfit.
Next, I kept on the cuffed dark wash jeans (which are also kind of high waisted, as you can tell) and tucked in the Blushing Beauty top which is a loose but well-fitting top. It was perfect to tuck in to these jeans and would also look fantastic paired with a high waisted skirt! Now, I very rarely wear any sort of heel but I do have a couple exceptions. Wedges and boots. I can actually last in either of these for a decent amount of time (go me), but you’ll never catch me in a stiletto or basically anything without a thick heel because my feet start crying after two seconds. Anyways, these wedges are perfect. I wear them everytime I go out downtown for the night and I can last.. well.. most of the night in them (if I’m being honest!).
Here I traded out the pants for leather leggings (such a fun trend) and added a glittery peplum top and a white blazer. I paired this outfit with Madden Girl boots from The Scarpetta that have a bit of a heel but are super comfy and easy to walk in.
This outfit is total comfort. The leather leggings plus the Keeping It Cozy sweater and my most favorite EVER infinity scarf. I’ve been wearing this scarf almost daily since I got it. It’s this fantastic burnt orange color that is the most perfect fall color ever and seems to match with everything I wear. It’s also soooo soft. My skin is super sensitive and I’m very prone to eczema, especially on my neck, so I have to be really careful with what kind of scarves I wear. Nothing even remotely scratchy. This scarf is actually soothing to wear- it’s just so so soft and cozy. If Palm Tree Boutique had a variety of colors, I’d very likely order tons more!!
I saved one of my favorites for last. This Lace to the Finish dress is SO pretty and a perfect dress for holiday parties. It’s got really fun, lacy sleeves and is loose and flowy so it’d be very flattering for lots of body shapes and sizes. I chose to belt the dress with a gold glitter belt for a holiday vibe. You could also throw the white blazer over this dress if you’re going to be doing some walking outdoors or just want to cover up the arms a bit, and you don’t want to lose the dressiness of the look.
So there we are again! Five different outfits from the same seven pieces of clothing. And you KNOW there are tons more possibilities: the glitter top and jeans, the Blushing Beauty top and leather leggings, the dress + the leggings… the list goes on. If you are missing some of these pieces, check out The Palm Tree Boutique and see if you can find something to substitute them for! While you’re there, you should definitely get yourself some early Christmas presents. I suggest the Back to the Country Cardigan, the Apple Cider Red and Cream top and the Night Ride Black Jeggings.
Hopefully this time around I have inspired you to take the challenge: dig through your closet, pick out seven pieces (it’s easiest if you start with a few key, trendy pieces and then work around those with neutrals that will match with everything) and make at least five outfits out of those seven pieces. It’s a lot easier than you think once you have the clothes laid out in front of you! Let’s all save a few dollars by shopping our own closet- after were done at The Palm Tree Boutique, of course! ;)
