If you’ve read my blog for any length of time, you know that I used to really love makeup and wear quite a bit of it. Don’t get me wrong- I still love it, but I don’t wear it nearly as often as I used to and I also don’t wear nearly as much. Over the past year or so, with my switch to healthier beauty products, I’ve really come to appreciate how good healthy, clear skin can look. My beauty routine now tends to focus more on skincare and less on piling on the makeup, meaning I get to save a bunch of time when I’m getting ready everyday!
Since swapping my focus from covering up any imperfections to taking care of them, I now confidently wear way less makeup and my skin looks (and feels) all the better for it. I’ve got my five minute routine down pat, and the best part is that it only requires a few relatively simple products!
The real game-changer when it comes to saving time in my everyday makeup routine is the new Perricone MD No Makeup Instant Blur. It’s described as a “multi-tasking, invisible primer and complexion perfector powered by skin-smoothing Alpha Lipoic Acid to blur and minimize the look of pores, redness, wrinkles and fine lines both instantly and over time.” It’s super lightweight and leaves my skin feeling so soft. It’s also paraben-free!
I lightly pat this all over my face before applying any other makeup and it not only leaves my skin with a healthy looking satin finish, it also helps to neutralize some of the redness I get around my nose and acts perfectly as a primer for a little powder concealer and blush to complete the look.
Run a little tinted brow gel through your brows, throw on your fave mascara, tap a little cream highlight on your cheekbones and cupids bow for a little extra glow and you are good to go!
