The beautiful summer weather we’ve been having lately (with the exception of the past two days that have been SO COLD for some reason) has got me feeling inspired to come up with all sorts of fun ways for Cole and I to spend our days off. I love making the most of the summer months and there are so many things I want to squeeze in while the weather is so nice!
In honor of National Iced Tea Day on Sunday, June 10th (heck yeah, I’ll be celebrating this!), I’ve come up with 5 adventures that will help you make the most of your weekend… all of which are made even more perfect when accompanied by a refreshing Tazo bottled iced tea!
1. Go camping
I could go camping every weekend and never get sick of it. It’s so nice to spend the day exploring the campground, going swimming and cooking outdoors (hotdogs, anyone?)! Top that off with a relaxing evening around the campfire and you’ve got the perfect day, if you ask me. Cole and I go camping quite often, even if we only have time to go for one night. It’s so worth it for how recharged you feel afterwards!
2. Go on a hike
This is probably the weekend adventure that gives me the biggest sense of accomplishment! I love spending time outdoors and going on a hike I’ve never done before is always so fun and rewarding. It’s also a great way to spend quality time with a loved one. You can make this even more adventurous by going on a sunrise or sunset hike- just make sure you bring a headlamp and choose an easy path! And don’t forget to bring an organic Tazo bottled iced tea to the top to treat yo’ self ;)
3. Be a tourist in your own city
Provided you don’t live in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere that doesn’t have a whole lot to offer, you can probably easily spend a day exploring your own city! It’s so much fun to try new cafes and restaurants, check out the local sights (I love visiting zoos and aquariums even if I’ve been there before!) and pretend to be a tourist in your own town for a day. Make this even more interesting by doing a scavenger hunt! If you google “scavenger hunt” and your city name, you may be able to find one that’s already made!
PS – can we take a moment to appreciate the zebra photobomb?
4. Get out on the water
Whether you rent a boat, canoe, kayak, paddle board, whatever- get out on the water. I always feel so happy, stress-free and totally relaxed when I’m out on the water for a day. This often leads to other great adventures as well, because you can find some really cool places that you wouldn’t be able to access without a boat!
5. Go on a mini roadtrip
This is even better if you have a long weekend to spare, but you can still do a mini roadtrip on a regular weekend! Go somewhere no more than a couple of hours away that you haven’t been to before (or somewhere nearby that you really love), rent an Airbnb and explore (or relax, you do you). It’ll feel so good to get away for the weekend and the relatively short drive home won’t take up your whole Sunday!
From now until June 24th, you can click here to get 30% off Tazo bottled iced teas on Amazon (excluding 3rd party sellers)- it’s the perfect complement to any adventure! What weekend adventures do you have planned for this summer?
