LUSH is quite possibly one of my most favorite stores of all time. Buying their products gives me all the good feels- they are handmade, totally affordable, made with fresh ingredients that are ethically sourced aaaand they are against animal testing. They sell all sorts of things from fresh face masks to shower jellies to hand scrubs, but my all time favorite LUSH products to indulge in are their bath bombs and bubble bars.
I participated in the LUSH #lushlive Twitter party last week and it just so happened that I won a prize (woohoo!). The prize was a “surprise,” but the lovely LUSH rep I was organizing delivery with kept hinting that it was pretty amazing. It showed up at my door yesterday and I ripped right into it. Guess what was in it? BATH. BOMB. (and bubble bar) HEAVEN. LUSH knows me, haha. The box was full of the LUSH fall bath bombs and bubble bars for 2015 and I thought I’d do a post on them, so here we are! All of these LUSH fall bath bombs and bubble bars are set to be released in mid-October.
I’ll start with the Lord of Misrule shower cream, which obviously isn’t a bath bomb, haha. This was the only non-bath bomb product in my box, so I thought I’d just throw it in this post anyways. If I heard right during the Twitter party/#lushlive event, the Lord of Misrule Shower Cream was only being released online in limited quantities and it would be in stores soon, but I think it’s limited edition so as far as I know, it won’t be here to stay. It’s currently sold out on the LUSH site. I am prone to dry skin, so I definitely prefer the shower creams over the shower jellies and I’m really excited to try this one! It’s got an earthy scent, which is an herbal blend of patchouli, peppercorn, black pepper and vanilla.
Next was the unknown bubble bar (it wasn’t in the info booklet that came with my package), but I’ve confirmed with my LUSH rep that it’s a reformulated version of the Karma bubble bar. I not only love the shape of this one, but it also has gold glitter on top which makes it even more amazing! It’s a lemongrass, patchouli, pine scent, and is super refreshing.
Then we have Big Bang (the one with stars), which is also a bubble bar. The main difference between bath bombs and bubble bars is that you drop a whole bomb in the water and it fizzes away, whereas a bubble bar you crumble up (which is great because you don’t have to use the whole thing at once. Have you ever tried to cut a bath bomb in half? It just doesn’t work, haha) and it makes bubbles. Big Bang has a lemon myrtle scent, says my info booklet!
Frozen is the light blue bath bomb, with the oh so appropriate tagline of “let it go.” Frozen’s scent is a blend of grapefruit and neroli- and I loooooove grapefruit, so this is definitely going to be a favorite!
Pink Flamingo won the “cutest bubble bar” award from me during the #lushlive event. It’s a cocktail-inspired bubble bar with a rosewood and ylang ylang scent.
Yoga Bomb, the orange bath bomb, is definitely being saved for a high-stress time when I really just need to unwind. It contains deeply relaxing sandalwood and olibanum oils.
Milky Bath is another bubble bar, and how adorable is it?! It’s a little milk bottle with a silver glitter lid on it. So cute! This is made with cocoa butter (fairly traded, of course), which is one of my favorite scents and also one of my favorite ingredients in bath bombs as it leaves my skin feeling so silky and moisturized.
I had to give this bath bomb it’s own five minutes of fame, because look at how awesome the detailing is on it! This is Guardian of the Forest. I can’t pinpoint the scent, but it’s definitely very earthy but also refreshing at the same time… kind of like you’re walking through a forest after a rainfall. Does that make sense? Go to the store, sniff it, and then let me know. ;)
I wanted to save these two for last because they’re my absolute favorites from this whole collection. On the left is The Experimenter, which has five different colors in it that all show up in your tub as a swirly tie-dye when you first drop it in- it’s amazing! It has a vanilla scent and it’s easily the coolest bath bomb I’ve ever used.
On the right is Intergalactic, which I haven’t used yet but was the bath bomb I was most excited about after watching the #lushlive event. They demoed this one and it made the water super blue and sparkly…. yaaaas please! The scent is made up of peppermint oil, grapefruit oil, vetivert oil and cedarwood oil. I can’t wait to try this one- tonight, maybe?
And that’s that- all of the LUSH fall bath bombs and bubble bars for 2015! Which ones will you be picking up?
