Kiki La'Rue, I Love You

Let me preface this by saying there is SO much excitement coming to Yours Truly very, very soon. The ideas kinda all started when I created this graphic for my most favorite person in the world, Becka of Kiki La'Rue...

The quote got me thinking. New year, new you. New year, blog revamp ideas in motion. Let's face it (because I already have), Yours Truly seems to be at a bit of a standstill. The content isn't what I want it to be, I have ideas falling out my who-knows-what that I have yet to implement, I'm just not 100% in love with the design. YT can be so much more. But it won't be.

That sounds depressing, but hear me out. Yours Truly was my first ever venture into blog-land, and to be honest, I didn't think I'd make it this far. I didn't think I'd love blogging this much. I didn't think I'd have actual readers who read and commented and interacted with me. I didn't think a lot of things, but now look where I am. YT has established me in the blog-world and I am forever grateful to it for that! It has been so fun, so frustrating and such an incredible learning process- all at once. But it's time to move on to bigger and better things.

That's why Yours Truly won't be so much more. It's a new year, a new you, a new me, a new blog. Okay, not a new blog. Just a revamped one. A second edition, a newer model. I have grown up in the blogging world. I started out as a little noobie, annoyingly emailing Neely and Erin and other lovely ladies my questions every ten seconds about how they got this review and what camera they use and what to do about sponsors and all that jazz. And I have come so far (not without help!). That's why it's time to let go of this learning process that has been Yours Truly, and start fresh. A new adventure, a new face, a new name.

The whole point of these rambles is to tell you that this blog is not going anywhere, but it will be totally re-done. Yours Truly, in the next couple of weeks (aka whenever I have time to create the amazing design I've been envisioning for the past few days), will officially become Olive & Ivy. And I can't wait for that new start.

NOW. Onto other pressing matters. AKA Kiki La'Rue. And Becka (the amazing owner). You've never heard of KLR? You are living under a rock, it's official. Becka's dedication, eye for style, budget-friendly pricing and incredible customer service has skyrocketed Kiki La'Rue to heights that I'm not sure she can even believe at this point. She literally restocks products, and in a matter of minutes they are sold out. It's nuts. KLR is definitely a favorite among bloggers.

if you couldn't tell, I love Kiki La'Rue.

I've had the honor of working with Kiki La'Rue for the past few months regularly on graphic design projects and I am sooooo crazy lucky to be able to call Becka one of my good friends in this blog world. One of my BEST friends in this blog world, even. How 'bout that Becka!! ;) Our late night Skype dates are like no other. I can't wait for the day that we can hang out in real life and drink sweet tea out of the jug whilst packing her millions of orders together.

dress & bangle c/o Kiki La'Rue

I believe there are a couple of smalls left in that gorgeous dress if you wanted to scoop them up here. This dress somehow - magically, might I add - makes me look really tall. It's kind of awesome! Becka is SO attentive to each of her customers and goes more than out of her way to make sure everyone is happy with their purchases. Just go read Kiki La'Rue's Facebook wall, and you'll see. She'll even phone your freakin' house to tell you the shirt you ordered will be too big for you but she's packed you just the right size. SERIOUSLY? What shop does that?! No shop except KLR. Like I said, the BEST customer service. Anywho, you have the chance to experience some of that greatness today, because Kiki La'Rue is giving away a pair of black leggings (regular OR plus size) and any Lenore scarf of the winner's choice!
