Ombré Hair Trend
What do you think of it? You know, the one where it fades from brown to blonde at the ends?
I have been pondering whether or not to do it for summer {it's spring currently in New Zealand. I know, backwards right?} because I wanted some more blonde in my hair but hate the maintenance and regrowth on blonde highlights. I spent a while perusing through Google images for some inspiration....
...and then took the plunge.

LOVE!
I personally love the ombre look. I did it for quite some time, went in to a hairdresser and told her that's what I was doing and she laughed at me. She said whoever invented ombre needed to be shot. But I think it's....B-E-A-U-TIFUL. If you can pull it off, which you look like you could, then go for it girl!
I contemplated doing an ombre, but I just love my dark hair too much to try anything else.
love it!!! looks soo good on you :)
It might just be me but we use to call that "Hey girl you need to go get your hair redyed, the roots are coming in big time!" I'm not a fan of it, but that's just me lol.

I love it, I have it right now with my red hair and the blond/red really brightens up my face! http://web.stagram.com/p/240556149419710377_34088236 That's an image if you want to see!
You know, normally I don't like ombre at all but it looks great on you!

Love love love!!!
It looks AMAZING!! Love it!
It looks great! I love it! I tried doing this to my hair..unfortunately it didn't work. I have red hair and the dye didn't take! :(
I love it!!
Thanks!!
Aw...can't tell from that photo but my hair is red as well. Not like raging red or anything (although I freaking love natural super red hair) but it is red-brown haha. Dye never takes to my hair and always fades right away back to my red-brown which is so annoying...the only way it stays is highlights because it's actually done with bleach which strips the color from your hair so it doesn't have a choice to hold or not haha.
Thankyou love!
Yaaaay me too!
Haha awww you should do it!! As long as it's done professionally I think it will look good...could get a bit scary doing it yourself haha
Aw, I'm flattered! ;)
Cute! I have reddish hair too and love it when there's blonde mixed in :D Love the sassy pose in the photo ;)
Hahaha!! It's so true...but that's the reason I chose this over getting highlights because I hate the regrowth and maintenance. This fades quite well from my natural color to the blonde so it worked for me :) Each to their own for sure! x
Thanks my lovaaa!
Hahah aw! I'm sure your hair is super nice as is :)
Hahah some people are so rude what the heck!? I think if it's done right it looks nice but I can definitely see why people could hate it when things like this happen: http://brandonstephens.info/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/bad-ombre.jpg
Thanks Joy :)
I TOTALLY agree with you that upkeeping blonde hair is too much work and too much money! I haven't had my hair colored since the week before my wedding (so, probably around June 25th?), so I have about 3 months of growth. I went through a rough phase a couple of weeks ago where it just looked like awful roots...but I think this is growing on me. Have you seen Aunies blog where she hasn't colored her hair or used heat for the past year? I feel half inspired to let my brown hair grow, have terrified of the little white hairs that naturally blend in with my blond, but won't so much with the brown :) ANYWAYS, enough about me - your hair looks awesome and it's definitely a great color for fall/winter here or your spring/summer over there :)
yeah Aunie's hair looked all good when she grew it out! but she's a freakin model to begin with...so let's not go there ahaha! I did blonde ONCE, like my whole head, and it was just not a good experience. It made my hair like straw and was a weird color for me. I love my hair with caramelly blonde highlights (which are the same color as my ombre hair) but full on blonde just looks not good on me. Speaking of hair like straw..I was so scared the bleach would make my three years of growing my hair out a waste so I soaked my ends in coconut oil last night and they feel great haha. So moisturized ;) And THANKS!
I LOVE it, Chels. I've been rocking the ombre for about a year. It's super low maintenance.
Wow ! It looks great on you !!!
Did you do it yourself?? It looks really good! I got mine done by someone but it didn't turn out as drastic as I wanted, so I am thinking about doing it on my own! Got any tips?
Very Pretty! I saw the one pic on instagram, but my little 6" screen don't show it like here.
LOVE! So pretty!
I think it's super cute!
I love me some OMBRE!! Yours turned out really cute! I hear all this hate on it, but I personally think, if done the right way, that it can look really natural and pretty. I went the lazy route... just never re-dyed my hair for 10 months... and OH LOOK, now I'm trendy fo FREE! Holla!
you are adorable!!! I love love your style!!! Im now following and cannot wait to read more!
